yeah... The shadow of a new york skyline is in New Jersey where they grew up, and the war is just the toil of growing up.
I did a project on Thursday and they talk about how Ian Curis, and also Geoff's friend killed themselves', and how a kid from close by fell off a cliff, and his friends responded by killing them selves, and people dying in car crashes and how all of that just scars your childhood.
I could really relate with this, because when I was in 8th grade the first friend I knew died... and from there on it seems like evry few mothes. It really is reality, and "War all of the time" just with human emotions, and fate. |

the paper is also another metaphore for his lost relationship. He talks about how you can't change the past so you try and hide it through drinking. THis song almost gives me the impression that his drinking is the reason for the breakup hence the name "i am the killer' its like he killed the relationshipo by drinking and now he has ended up where he began, alone and distraught. |

This song reminds me of my old best friend. Every thing is fine when you are an innocent childm but once you are a teenager and you have the choice to make yourself you can change. I think of how she decided to hate everythign and ti become a new her. When she changed, I had a new 'cavity' in my heart because this was the first time I had hated and loved with every part of my soul. crashing the car is also reliving the pain, like when you dwell on something, and you can almost feel that he has the same pain in his accident with life as his partner had with the car accident.
