At first I thought it was a song about a couple. In which presents manipulative type of relationship. Where one of partners (let's call him partner nr.1) wants to be free, but feels sorry for it. Like still holding a hope. But the other partner (partner nr.2) is already dead, as if he doesn't need anything. And only place where he is present is in partner's nr.1 head(like in memories the way he was, when he wasn't "dead"). So partner nr.1 manipulates with suicide out of revenge, for other partner's coldness. And they both want something, but can't get it. Second thought came later. As singer is the inner voice of main character of the song. Like alter ego singing to himself. |
