In this song, Matt is directly addressing the Christ/Antichrist, who is actually God in the flesh. The Music Video confirms this hypothesis. Breakdown per verse, and further analysis at the end: Link it to the world Link it to yourself Stretch it like a birth squeeze The love for what you hide The bitterness inside Is growing like the new born When you've seen, seen Too much too young, young Soulless is everywhere This Christ/Antichrist person experienced traumatic events, most likely child abuse. They might be young, but they feel old and wise because of this (in part; this person might be especially gifted in various areas). It is a vital part of this person's identity, and also a source of anger, hatred, bitterness, but also great strength. "Soulless" refers to actual people who seem to be soulless in a literal (they lack a "soul") and metaphorical sense (they are cruel beyond thinkable human parameters). And the world is infested with them (as per this person's perception). Hopeless time to roam The distance to your home Fades away to nowhere How much are you worth? You can't come down to earth You're swelling up, you're unstoppable 'Cause you've seen, seen Too much too young, young Soulless is everywhere What this person has been through is a source of great strength and possibly; megalomania. This verse retells a time for the person when everyday matters seem trivial, compared to what the person feels is destined to do. The seed was planted in this person's heart,mind, body, and soul, and it is slowly growing to produce a fruit-- a fruit that would (hopefully) result in the elimination of the soulless people; the abusers. Destroy the spineless Show me it's real Wasting our last chance To come away Just break the silence 'Cause I'm drifting away Away from you Matt is imploring this person to destroy all this filth, like an Avatar of the old ages. Or a future Avatar, like the Kalki avatar. He also is begging this Christ/Antichrist to contact him in some way, "break the silence": i.e.: "give me a sign", so that he knows he is not deluding himself, and can keep holding on. Matt seems to be asking for a sign, from (I believe), God, in this verse, due to the intonation, wording, and context. So this Christ/Antichrist person is most likely God, or if you believe in the trinity, God "The Son", the Living God. Now for the Music Video: The video shows a strange girl (but awe-inspiring, especially her gaze) dressed in pijamas (child abuse reference?), who starts emitting metaphorical will-o-wisp balls to sow chaos and confusion on the masses, from her room's window. There are some strange symbols on her head, which are astrology symbols; one is the symbol for Mercury, another is for the North node or Rahu -- The Dragon's Head, and another is an opposition sign). I also wanted to add that this video embodies the "Adra" nakshatra from Hindu astrology, which is represented by the constellation Orion (which seers have stated to hold great significance especially concerning matters that affect the Earth). Ardra speaks of redemption through suffering and tears (it's symbol is a teardrop). So this girl is the Antichrist character, and what she is doing is taking the appropriate steps to that this mess of world can be redeemed, and that is not a painless exercise (as can be evidenced in the reactions of the audience that have gathered below her window). She at times shows sadistic enjoyment in what she is doing, at other times she just shows anger. It culminates with the "black cloud" (massive cosmic catastrophe?) that rains a heavy pouring at the end of the song. What is the state of humanity at that point... one can only guess (or hope).
