I don't think this song has to be taken so literal. This guy has this life where he is struggling and not happy; however, he isn't down in the dumps. He realizes this and knows things need to change. He goes back to his old life. Goes back to the simple life with his steady job that's enough for his girl and him. He is happy again. Sometimes just have to do what keeps you happy. Do what you love. You don't have to go by what everyone else does. You know don't fix what isn't broken. |

This has to be one of my favorite songs. I want it to be played at my funeral as my goodbye. I think its the story of life, and coming to peace with leaving it while leaving part of you behind that will always be there for the people you love. |
