Lana sings about someone that has disappeared due to work/break up, she sees them as being gone for so long that the world and herself are different , possibly even death is imminent; "ice and water" are symbols for death in film; which Lana loves considering her fascination with Hollywood. She wishes that she can be her old self again too ...possibly with him maybe one last time. She would do whatever it takes to be for that last shot, leaving her career behind for it.
