Feist – My Moon My Man Lyrics 10 years ago
I don't usually go much deep in interpreting songs here but this one caught me. Because of the comments (thanks for the laughs, guys) but also because of the song's ambiguity. I feel like Leslie wrote this song quickly in natural words that came effortlessly, not caring much about the meaning, just the feeling.
Well, it sounds to me like a story about spontaneous lovers. The man in question takes her places ('such a lovable land to me'), but he also cares about her, treat her well and "shed some light" in her life. I believe that at some point things went wrong, some misunderstanding, that would lead to the second verse and "not as good as we've been".
To sum up, probably about a casual relationship that vanished somehow (as it's gotta be) and she remembers melancholically the good time she once had.
I really like the atmosphere the end of the song builds and I think it says a lot too. The sound of a street and steps in high heels, plus the crickets that bring the nighttime mood perfectly.

Cold War Kids – Quiet, Please! Lyrics 10 years ago
The way I hear it, it's like he went to church one day and went making the song in his mind along with the cult. I'm not a religious person at all but I find this a pretty fun song. Guess that shows how much of a good writing it is. What the reverend said was quite wise, too.
