The way I interpret this song, is that he's trying to separate himself from his ego. The ego belongs to the outside world, and there is a hole in his heart, letting the ego get in. He's trying to seal this hole, so that the outside world and the inside world can balance eachother out. Whether this song is about drugs or not, he is still able to recognize the disfunction, and he is trying to do something about it. Sometimes drugs can help us identify ourselves, perhaps LSD enabled him to realize something of truth. |
