The lyrics are perfect. Their simple, but the meanings behind them are so profound.
I feel like the lyrics are about not being able to express how you really feel for someone and it plays havoc on your emotional state when you think about them leaving.

I fell in love with this song immediately after I heard it. I'm using it for a project and it fits so perfectly with the hopeless romantic theme I have going.
When I listen to this song I get the feeling that everyone will end up with their soulmates even if it happens very slowly and gradually.

Before I found out it was about abortion, I got a totally different meaning. I thought it was very "unrequited love" sounding. I guess the lyrics "can't you see it's me you're dying for" and
"Now that I have found someone I'm feeling more alone than I ever have before" made me think of a man who loves this woman very much but realizes there are numerous obstacles in their way. Now that I know its about abortion, it all makes sense as a whole.
Nevertheless, its a beautiful song that makes me want to cry everytime I hear it. His voice is so unique and gorgeous. It fits the mood of the song. |
