Yeah I saw them the first gig of the tour last year in Brighton and Matt said it's about "all the shit" him and the guys have been through "in the past year" with his vocal chords and that. But it's awesome he's still able to sing... even though they say he'd play guitar and they'd just get another vocalist, it wouldn't be the same. |

Basically, I reckon it's about death. What happens after it - "every other question you'll never find the answer to." No one knows, no one ever will know, or that's the chance anyway. Also, Numbers count for nothing, in title and in the lyrics is a great idea, and a totally true point. Numbers don't count for jack shit, and the "If my life..." line, is true, in a morbid and sadistic sense... "one death is a tragedy, 1 million is a statistic" I believe it's something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong. |

I think it starts of like a bit of a lament to "someone" then gradually works its way to just being back home, and how great it feels after being away for any extended period of time. What an opener, no silly little intros, nothing, straight into the fucking brutal ASSAULT of an album. I think it's Sam saying that he's had to make choices, as shown in the last line, and that he's "seen this road a thousand times" but he's "not looking back", signifying that he has no regrets... I'm not sure but that's how I see it. And also maybe just giving death the middle finger slightly... wow. |

I love this song. I dunno. I listen to it late at night, like right now. Just makes me think about everything. Jeff's voice is so soothing, and the music is just beautiful too. Amazing. And then the X-Factor rubbish had to happen... I was disappointed. But, at least Jeff got number two at Christmas in the UK, aye? :D |

I Don't Know Why But this Song Just Gets To Me. Definitely My Favourite Song By Them, And To Me It Reminds Me Of My Ex As We're Still Best Friends And There's Still A Lot There But We Can't Get Back Together, And It's Just Waiting Now. It Won't Happen In The End But At Least We've Still Got Something.
