Devo – What We Do Lyrics

There's nothing you can say about this song that isn't already in the song. What we do is what we do. Play this one LOUD with lots of bass and dance around like a moron-trust me, it feels great |

Stone Temple Pilots – Big Bang Baby Lyrics

Man! I just heard this song again today and finally realized exactly what it’s about (at lease according to my own interpretation and perspective). It’s about a guy who had a period in his life when we was younger. That period was a total haze, maybe due to drug usage or just fast living-anyway, now he’s a big shot and everyone wants to hear his story so-(and this is my favorite part)-he just makes it up! |

Jim Carroll Band – Rooms Lyrics

Sometimes there's more to existance than being a human and interacting in Societies. There's something personal and sacred that no-one else can touch. A kind of secret freedom where only the person experiencing it can understand. "I left my body somewhere, somehow it just got in the way" :) I can relate to that. |

The Dead Milkmen – Stuart Lyrics

I heard Rodney say in an interview that during the time before the song was recorded every other person they met had the name "Stuart"
The song started out as several silly inside jokes before it became a song. |

To me it's about finding a suitable mate for the moment who's not quite your type but not far off, not a soul mate, just some one who's enjoyable to spend some time with. A "Loose Fit" |

It's about the end of the world...and I think this is the best song ever written. The second is "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", also about the end of the world (in my humple opinion of course) |

Why is it that people automatically think that Charles Manson's music is bad? It's quite obvious that none of those people have heard any of it, because in my opinion most of it is very brilliant and inspiring. Every one of his songs are 10 times better than this song |

My buddy told me that they recorded this wile H.R. was in jail and he did his vocals over the telephone, which accounts for the awesome effects on the vocals. I don't know if it's true, but lines like "I'm in here and you're out there" and "Visits from you every tuesday" strongly support this |

Joy Division – Insight Lyrics

|
Have you ever taken a step back from your life and realized that everything you put your guts and soul into could very well be of no consiquence or significance at all? And maybe the only thing really worth reflecting on is the innocent and uneducated joy of your youth. I think that most of Curtis's adult like he saw death staring him right in the face, threatening him, pointing at him and once he realized that everything he was living for was insipid he finally said, come on you bastard! Come and take it, "I'm not afraid" |

For Squirrels – Mighty Kc Lyrics

This song is about Kurt? How? I often read about bands having to change their lyrics after kurt died just so people wouldn't be confused and think that they were about him. This song could be about alot of things, If anyone out there can help me make the connection, please, proove me wrong, because I really doubt it is about Cobain and I hate being a ney-sayer. |

I read somewhere that when Dee Dee Ramone wanted to escape from all the choas and madness around him he would shoot up and sit under the sink with a blanket on it and let the water run and sit under it so he could pretend he was under a waterfall. This song reminds of that. |

Most of these comments seam to interpret this song from reality. I don't find it very helpful to try and interpret dreams in this dimention, but just try and apriciate it as the dream that came and went. Especially if it's a nice dream |

The line "Lean In To Walk/We Dreamed Up Tonight" Reminds me of the idea that there is an underlying diviny to our existance that is compariable to being on auto pilot. If we just don't think and live on this subconcious level it will be sublime and in accorinance with our great purpose. |

Camper Van Beethoven – That Gum You Like Is Back In Style Lyrics
| 16 years ago
|
It's actually about a different charactor entirely. A cryptographer from California who meets these aliens who teach him an incryption pattern that can't be broken. So he desighns his own code based on this pattern and he designates minor celebrities to each word/charactor. The Name of the code is "That Gum You Like Is Back in Style"
In the alternate demention that the aliens come from there are many differences as a result of people making slightly different changes. For example the Beatles are actually a verry obsure garage rock band with actor Keenan Wynn as the lead guitarist, the lyric is actually "Of John Paul and Ringo with Keenan Wynn, No George" not "Or George" This all comes streight out of Lowery's Mouth as an introduction to a live performance of this song. |

Depeche Mode – Policy Of Truth Lyrics

Great concept, exeptional wording. Something I find myself saying alot is that people shouldn't ask questions they don't want the answers to. So often people think they want everything out in the open, and can't mind there own bussiness, when in all actuallity, they would be way better off being in the dark |

Yeah Luv, yer right, they do hate this shit, not only that, but when asked what they're worst song is they spit out "what's your name" before the questions even finished. It make sence what you said tho, that Martin didn't help wright this, for the longest time I just thought they all outgrew being gay......I mean look at the way those boys dressed, especially Martin. So many times they would sing a love song and then say the word "she" in reference to the object of effection and I'd be thinking "uh.......she? .....you sure? But I guess those guys got married |

Kenna – Freetime Lyrics

To me this song is about the diferences between humans and animals. Sometimes I'll try and take a walk to be alone, or do my own thing, or just go to the woods to pee and fucking humans are bloody everywhere!!! I don't ever really feel the need to have freetime from animals, but humans judge one another and wonder about one another, need things from eachother, even if they genuinlly care, it's still better sometimes just be able to walk around naked or have your stoned mind echo within it'self or just be an idiot without nosey-ass, needy-ass people all up in your shit! No offence to those of you who happen to be human, you understand |

Faith No More – Epic Lyrics

I love this song because, yeah, most songs are riddles (kind of) but this is streight up in riddle form. I think it's about that one kick that everyone is looking for, some people have found it, some people are still trying to find out what that one thing is that just grabs you deep inside, inflates you and makes all your cares just float away. That's why he sais "IT", because "IT" is something different to everybody. And you say "What is it?" |
