| i think its actually about the moment when thom yorke woke up after they fucked up his eye surgery, and he became slightly colorblind, different forever, and disconnected if he allowed it to consume him, which i think he entertained the idea of for this record, (like a clone of himself, explaining the clone theory). now i think the rest of this album could symbolize how thom really thinks, when he is depressed and thinking about whatever happened to him, as opposed to the man he was portrayed as, very disjointed, disconnected, and unsynchronized between his two personas ex. in idioteque he is whining about needing to hear both sides, since he cant get back in touch with who he once was, which is fake anyways, so he goes insane in morning bell after the frenetic beats and actions of idioteque, leading to his eventual suicide in motion picture soundtrack | |

| hmm, good point, i always considered that as a very faint possibility, of tolerance, but i was under the impression that even with tolerance there is a point where regardless, that amount of the drug is just way too much for anyone to handle, but i guess after relistening to nirvana and being a little older and not so eager to think "oh man kurt got murdered", your ideas are pretty realistic, and unprovable really, as measuring the tolerance of a dead man is as far as i know impossible, so i guess that fact isnt so strong as evidence, although there aare a few funky details in the case that are a bit unresolved i think but idk at this point i dont think if he did get killed, it will never be proven and is quickly being relegated to one of the ridiculous conspiracy theories status haah | |

| i think it has to do with how everyone looks at him as some kind of genius for his wonderful insightful lyrics haha, but in reality theyre not as complicated as anyone says, and as someone else pointed out the lyrics are the least important part of his songs, because he is strongly influenced by sonic youth and one can see clear similarities on this album, and noise is really an emotionally solute form of music, an aesthetic wholly embraced on this album, yet none of his fans seem to understand them at all, and this album was pretty much an fu to the fans and record company as it almost wasnt released because it was too noisy and abrasive, personally i find it to be the best nirvana album aside from the awesome unplugged performance, oh and id say kurts sarcastic humor is shown very subtly here if you read deeply into the lyrics, its like he sarcastically pokes fun at himself in many songs like in bloom for one, pennyroyal tea, with his melancholic moans about how he cant do anything besides drink pennyroyal tea, its kinda funny, but at the same time his writing is serious, i think the best example of his sarcastic humor is on unplugged when he plays a song, about a girl and says yea none of you have heard this one, its from my first record, and its kinda funny how there is literally no laughter in the crowd, kinda shows the type of fans that he had hah | |

| this song is definetely about how everything hes said is in fact influenced by others works, because in reality, theres only so many combinations of worsds that exist in our language, only sio many fguitar sounds to be made, only so many ways to say it. ive felt this way many times in my life, when i want to make music, i can only help but feel, "fuck i dont even have any original thoughts anymore, its all just lyrics by bands like nine inch nails, marilyn manson smashi8ng pumpkins, and shit that pop into my head, and then i listen to an album for a while and i just cant help but think that i have some kind of connection with that artist because ive felt the same as him before and he expressed it so well, and then when i try to express that same feeling, the only way i can do it is by listening to their music. like i then try to create my own shit and it sounds nothing at all like what they made but it sounds different that i even intended, as i usually sample songs' drum hits and stuff and make entirely new rhythms out of them but i never end up creating the mood and atmosphere i intend to, and it frustrates me, its like if i wanted to convey my feelings about how i feel some times, im always listening to these songs so i would just be better off playing that and calling it my own. Its like nirvana and the song in bloom. he knows that he is just like that person in the song he wrote about, he admits he directly ripped off the pixies, as a matter of fact he was torn up inside about how his music really wasnt original, but everyone claimed he wasa fucking genious, but he knew he wasnt, and theres always the occasional critic who knocks him for this, and they say he actually sucked. well i feel like im in the same position, i idolize people like him trent reznor and maynard, maybe to the point that i am obsessed but i know it at the same time, unlike some people who just are too young to notice so they create shitthat sounds the same, but im different i know i am and try to hide their influence, maynard james keenan has said this exact same thing, he said "King Crimson is pretty much who we ripped off over the years," Tool's singer, Maynard James Keenan, said toward the end of his two-hour set.
