Nico – The Fairest Of The Seasons Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I wouldn't mind this being the last song I hear before I leave this place. |
The Weepies – Wish I Could Forget Lyrics | 16 years ago |
One of their best...very introspective, accepting the loss of a relationship that he brought the death of. |
MC Frontalot – Which MC Was That? Lyrics | 16 years ago |
You mean In the Groove? This and the PA Theme are on the first In the Groove game. |
Quincy Jones – Ai No Corrida Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I found this song while watching a wonderful video about the Japanese show Tantei Monogatari, staring Yusaku Matsuda. To me, the song exemplifies the basic premise of the plot, as well as the recklessness of the main character perfectly...besides that, the song is perfect regardless. |
James Taylor – The Frozen Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wow, no comments? I think the song is pretty self-exclamatory, and if you've heard James tell the story of its inception, then it's even more clear. I always found this concept to be interesting, and it's been done a few times in movies to date. |
The Fine Print – Strawberry Jam Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Definitely my favorite from The Fine Print...not surprisingly, Jerry/Tycho has a way with words here like in all other endeavors he tackles. Plus, I learned the meaning of aplomb thanks to this song! As for meaning, it sounds as though it's about a man who was rejected brazenly ("It's Brazen Bran"!) by a woman, yet he tries to reason with her and tell her that he cannot compromise himself, regardless of the countless rejections he may have already faced. Plainly though, it seems like a whole "I like Grape Jam on my toast, and you'll have to accept that if you want to be with me." sort of deal that comes about from being around someone so much that the little differences like what foods we eat start to come between us. |
John Mayer – The Heart of Life Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Probably his next single...maybe this album's "Daughters", although there are better songs on Continuum. |
The Rolling Stones – Not Fade Away Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Definately hear the Bo Diddley in it JosephWolf...sounds a lot like Who Do You Love in the rhythm...I think Who Do came first though |
Ray Charles – I Got A Woman Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm doing a report on how women are portrayed negatively in songs, but so far (other than in rap), this is the only song that stuck out in my mind...anyone have any other suggestions possibly? |
John Mayer Trio – I Got A Woman Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Robbie Williams – Angels Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Don't want to judge too soon, as this is the first song I know of by Williams, but he sounds like he's trying way too much to be a Bowie/Elton hybrid... |
John Mayer – Bold as Love (Jimi Hendrix Experience cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
a good departure from the rest of the album at the right time...great cover |
John Mayer – The Heart of Life Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song's going to explode when they make him release it as a single... anyways, it's still great |
John Mayer – Belief Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Are you the grammar police Parachutes? Anyways, here's how I hear it... Is there anyone who Ever remembers Changing their mind from the paint on a sign? Is there anyone who Really recalls Ever breaking record off, for something someone yelled real loud one time? Oh everyone believes In how they think it oughta be Oh everyone believes And they’re not going easy... Belief is a beautiful armor But makes for the heaviest sword Like punching underwater You never can hit who you're trying for Some need the exhibition Some have to know they're trying It’s the chemical weapon for the war that’s raging on inside Oh everyone believes From emptiness to everything Oh everyone believes And no one’s going quietly... We’re never gonna win the war, We’re never gonna stop the war We’re never gonna beat this, if belief is what we’re fighting for We’re never gonna win the war We’re never gonna stop the war We’re never gonna beat this, if belief is what we’re fighting for Is there anyone Who can remember, Ever surrendered With their life on the line? We’re never gonna win the war, We’re never gonna stop the war We’re never gonna beat this, if belief is what we’re fighting for We’re never gonna win the war We’re never gonna stop the war We’re never gonna beat this, if belief is what we’re fighting for What dumps one-hundred thousand children in the sand? Belief can...Belief can What puts a folded flag inside his mother’s hand? Belief can...Belief can |
