Lyric discussion by Unsound

Seashellz's re-post has the right lyrics.

For the meaning of this song, all I can do is speculate. It is an amazing song, off one of of Floyd's most amazing and underrated albums. The song seems to be about aliens (or possibly angels, or simply the combined concept) bringing revalation to the human race. The "Him" referred to may be a form of alien, angel, or perhaps saviour (I hesitate to say "God" because of its Christian implications). I do agree that "t'was Lucy in the sky" has LSD connotations. With no specualtion, it is clear that it is about revalation brought to humans. Whether by drugs, aliens, or divines, as usually Floyd has left it up to the listener to decide.

@Unsound Interesting that they specifically reference "Lucy in the Sky". I assume they got it from Sgt. P, since this album came out one year later than ...Lonely Hearts Club Band. Or was Lucy in the Sky a thing before it appeared in the '67 Beatles song? I know about the initials and I also know that Lennon maintained that the Beatles song was inspired by his son's nursery-school artwork.

In this PF song's context the reference seems luciferian (as in "light-bearer").
