You drained my heart, and made a spade. But there's still traces of me in your veins

I think this is just a referance to a garden. A bleeding heart is a plant, so it's like someone killied the plant. My second reason for thinking it's about a garden is of "and made a spade." A spade is a gardening tool, a pointy shovel. Also spades in a card deck originate from tarot when theywere originally swords. Swords stad hearts, or cut bleeding ones. And "there's still traces of me in your veins". I think this is his strongest metaphore in the song. From the outside it looks like love and then having it broken, but I thought of it as veins of a plant. The blood (BLEEDING hearts) is contained in the veins. And the lines remind me of poet Fredrich Holderlin, who opened his own veins one day to 'water a rose tree.'

pretty good interpretation, and seems like something manson would do. hidden meaning within meaning or whatever. but the problem is you seem to have based it solely on the chorus, as the verses don't have anything to do with gardens. sorry for the bad english...lol my english sucks on internet stuff like this, but it's really good when i'm writing something more important. lol i dunno. (the spell checker on this site recognizes dunno but not lol...weird)

Spade card mean somethimes a winning card would mean she sees this as her triumph. Spades could mean also death, death of his heart. Also second verse of the song refers to one of the stories of Edgar Allan Poe I think. I would like to complete the text with an initial monologue; [Opening Woman's voice]: Both of us aren't going to last. I'm not going to talk to him. I tell him to feel while I have a...
