Lyrics for Don't Let Me Down as interpreted by Ice

Don't Let Me Down Lyrics
Don't let me down
Don't let me down
Don't let me down
Don't let me down

Nobody ever loved me like she does
Oh, she does
Yeah, she does
And if somebody loved me like she do me
Oh, she do me
Yes, she does

Don't let me down
Don't let me down
Don't let me down
Don't let me down

I'm in love for the first time
Don't you know it's going to last
It's a love that lasts forever
It's a love that had no past
(Seeking past)

Don't let me down
Don't let me down
Don't let me down
Don't let me down

And from the first time that she really done me
Oh, she done me
She done me good
I guess nobody ever really done me
Oh, she done me
She done me good

Don't let me down
Hey
Don't let me down
Hey
Don't let me down

Don't let me down
Don't let me down
Don't let me let down
Can you dig it?
Don't let me down

This song is simply about one thing. Sex. "Nobody done me, like she done me". Common, just look at the words. Still a great song.

I very much agree Bickle, its a beautiful song no matter what. Its about fear and once you have something you've wanted so badly, the fear of losing it.

I disagree with Tyler250. It's about a lot more than sex. It's about being in love with someone.

"Nobody ever loved me like she does"

"I'm in love for the first time"

This is about Yoko, a woman John truly loved. Please try to look past the sex part and see the big picture.

When released.. I was going through this same emotion. My fiance had left me.. because her parents demanded. I was younger, the wrong religion, uneducated and an American Indian. They took her from me and moved far away. This song was playing as I followed her to the airport to see her off, still hoping we could somehow be together.
The flip side of the single was "Something" and both songs were co-hits being played over and over (no pun intended). Even today, hearing either one of these songs is haunting because they instantly take me back to being in love with my insides quaking from the things about her that moved me, and my voice and lungs exploding and ready to scream "Don't Let Me Down." I guess the Beetles had my number.. that's what made them genius.

I think this song is about a lot more than sex. I think its about the fear of losing the one person he's ever been in love with. the "Don't let me down" kinda gives that away, and I love this song.

well, whatever it means, it is a good song, and when it remakes for I am Sam soundtracks it still good, and for the both version, I like the guitar playing so cool! and still the vocal haz no different from the original version..well, if it's about d meaning, I agree with u all, it's about love...and somehow that have an addition with sex...sex..love..is it any different? I think sex has more material meaning than love...but when people fall in love, sometimes they do sex, and somehow when they are in condition of fear losing his/her couple, they take time to remember, how it feels (the "sex" feels)..it has no wrong that a couple expressed their love feeling with sex, right? so it's all same..but it is very clear that this song might be about yoko ono...

I agree with what Paul said some years back about this being a genuine cry for help from John to Yoko, as John was battling drug addiction and dissatisfaction both with himself and the Beatles.

John's in love with Yoko and he feels that it's his first love. Maybe he felt something like it before, but he doesn't want it to fail this time around which is why he's saying "Don't Let Me Down" He's opening up and he's very vulnerable... to have someone hurt you in that state is such a let down.

the realization that you can have any worthwhile love if you give love. if you give love people will be compel to give love back to you. hence "nobody ever loves me like she does and if somebody love me like she do". meaning he will give in return
