The words to this song are so beautiful. I wish he wasn't invoking some Guru with a mantra in it - but that won't stop me from loving this song. (in 3rd grade my fellow Beatles-fan friends and I used to wonder: "what does Jackaroo Dayva mean?" I thought it was a woman's name - kinda like Jackie Onassis crossed with Doris Day... we loved the song - but were not too well-versed in Hinduistic mantras at the time. We won't know until later down the road whether Lennon made it into heaven. I actually met a Presbyterian Pastor from Liverpool who grew up with John Lennon until 6th grade who confirmed much of what is written here in this web article:
