I want to live
I want to give
I've been a miner
For a heart of gold
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
For a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keep me searching
For a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
For a heart of gold
I've been in my mind
It's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
For a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searching
For a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

Keep me searching
For a heart of gold
You keep me searching
And I'm growing old
Keep me searching
For a heart of gold
I've been a miner
For a heart of gold

    Lyrically it's self explanatory.

After I started playing guitar I spent a lot of time in the public library to check out cds and this was one of them.

I learned it on guitar then later when I had a harp I would sneak outside in the woods, smoke a cig and learn it on the harp.

Which harp player will tell you isn't hard. I'm not one of them. But my harp smelled like cigs.

I don't know it was something to do...still is.

There's nothing like playing live. If you play well you are a king. And if you're humble about it you're cool.

BUT well I hate to say it Joe Pass died knowing two things jazz guitar and heroin.
