  General Comment:This is song invigorates me more than anything and so I searched for the mindset of the writers and found this nugget from an interview with MTV (mtv.com/news/articles/1471576/…)
  
  The first single, "Headstrong," is about the forces of adversity that threatened Trapt at every turn and the stubborn determination they exhibited in the face of such pressure.
  
  "People were trying to mold us and push us a certain way as a band, and the song was pretty much our backlash against that," said Brown, adding that the urgent lines for the chorus were improvised in the studio. "When we were working on the song, [I was so angry] I just started singing, 'Back off, I'll take you on/ Headstrong to take on anyone.' Everyone struggles to get where they want to be. They key is to be headstrong and keep pushing forward and not let anyone push you off your path."

The victim of this realizes it and decides that he isn't going to take all of that shit. Because of all this, he is willing to take the user on, and finally show the user who's boss.

  Song Meaning:This song could be about a bad relationship between to people. I guess this song is talking about how someone has a friend who is going to betray him or something and that someone figures it out and then he leaves that friend. The friend is scared because the person is angry at him and he wants to 'take him on,' and the friend 'makes the desicion to hide.'
  
  Well, that's my interpretation.

  Lyric Correction:I'm not sure. At the beginning is he saying "Contemplating everything you ever said"? It's always sounded more to me like he's saying "contemplating everything you never said"

  General Comment:This song is about someone who wants to be super powerful and can take on the world as a multi-millionaire. I know this song is super good but I've never thought it's the worlds greatest song ever made.

  General Comment:ok the meaning... i know alot of you are all lady dah about this song, so i'm going to try make some sense of it.
  
  he is standing up for what he believes in
  "i know that you are wrong"
  he's angry with whoever pissed him off
  "Back down i'll take you on"
  maye this is just me but it sounds like he finally saw his wife/ gf's true nature and he didn't like it, so he is angry with the entire situation. i mean it even starts off with,
  "circling your circling your circling your head" meaning he could be thinking about what she said "contemplating everything you ever said" because he saw the truth "now i see the truth i gotta doubt" and then focusing on "and now i'm out" in "a different motive in your eyes and now i'm out"
  THEN he's all no i'm out of this relationship "i see you later"
  
  so summing up
  he see's his gfs/ wifes true nature which he doesn't like, he has been thinking about it, it makes him angry, and he leaves her. and how would you feel when your lover hurt you feels like he could take on anyone and not care cuz he is that angry at her.
  
  
  idk it could just be me, sorry for taking up so much space, but someone has to put meaning behind this song

    i think everyone can have a different interpretation of a song bc its speaks to everyone differently. it just depends on how you hear it and your experience..but as for me i think its just about a someone who is standing up and sayin "heyy dont mess with me! im just as good as you are!" its a good song to get pumped up to.. makes you feel like you can take on the world :) and i reeeaaallly like the way zombie11 explained it XD
