Possessions never meant anything to me
I'm not crazy
Well that's not true, I've got a bed
And a guitar and a dog named Bob who pisses on my floor
That's right, I've got a floor
So what, so what, so what?

I've got
Pockets full of Kleenex and lint and holes
Where everything important to me
Just seems to fall right down my leg
And onto the floor
My closest friend linoleum

Linoleum
Supports my head
Gives me something to believe
That's me on the beach side combing the sand
Metal meter in my hand
Sporting a pocket full of change

That's me on the street with a violin under my chin
Playing with a grin
Singing gibberish
That's me on the back of the bus
That's me in the cell
That's me inside your head
That's me inside your head
That's me inside your head

    Song Meaning

Seeing some really stupid answers here. I'll break it down.

Possessions never meant anything to me- he doesn't care about material possessions. I'm not crazy (Cause I got none) - this doesn't make him crazy Well that's not true, I've got a bed and a guitar - he does have a couple things he loves. And a dog named Bob who pisses on my floor - he has a shitty dog That's right, I've got a floor - i think here he is speaking to listeners who may call NOFX sellouts or not real punk. So what, so what, so what? - who gives a shit if i have a place to live?

I've got pockets full of Kleenex and lint and holes - all his pants have holes and lint and kleenex. he doesn't care enough to get new ones or take care of his clothes. Where everything important to me just seems to fall right down my leg - "everything important" suggests that the shit in his pockets is his most important possessions, which isn't saying much for him. And on the floor My closest friend linoleum - he spends a lot of time on linoleum floors, probably due to alcohol or drug use.

Linoleum Supports my head, gives me something to believe - he lays on it and it reassures him of reality. once again, definitely alcohol or drug use here.

now for the last "that's me" part. I think it's just saying that he could be anyone really, and that anyone could be anyone. it's a way of saying we're all really alike, even if our problems or our lifestyles set us apart.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
