Listen to the song here in my heart
A melody I start, but can't complete
Listen to the sound from deep within
It's only beginning to find release

Oh, the time has come for my dreams to be heard
They will not be pushed aside and turned
Into your own, all 'cause you won't listen

Listen, I am alone at a crossroads
I'm not at home in my own home
And I've tried and tried
To say what's on my mind
You should have known, oh
Now I'm done believing you
You don't know what I'm feeling
I'm more than what
You've made of me
I followed the voice, you gave to me
But now I've gotta find my own
You should have listened

There is someone here inside
Someone I thought had died
So long ago

Oh, I'm screaming out
And my dreams will be heard
They will not be pushed aside or worse
Into your own
All 'cause you won't listen

Listen, I am alone at a crossroads
I'm not at home in my own home
And I've tried and tried
To say what's on my mind
You should have known, oh
Now I'm done believing you
You don't know what I'm feeling
I'm more than what
You've made of me
I followed the voice, you gave to me
But now I've gotta find my own

I don't know where I belong
But I'll be moving on
If you don't, if you won't

Listen to the song here in my heart
A melody I start, but I will complete, oh
Now I'm done believing you
You don't know what I'm feeling
I'm more than what you've made of me
I followed the voice you think you gave to me
But now I've gotta find my own, my own

Its basically a song about a woman who is being repressed, she wants to fullfill her dreams but she cant because her lover wont let her, and its about her telling him how she wants him to listen to what she wants from life..... i think :S

ooh thiss is a good song !! its a song that pretty much speaks for itself. Its like someone is holding her back & trying to change her & she just wants to break free. I bet this song will get more comments when people see Dreamgirls because she sings this in it ♥

    My Interpretation

i have loved this song till last night when i listened to the lyrics carefully..its satanic

Listen to the song here in my heart a melody I start but can't complete(satan never completed his mission in heaven..he had the loveliest voice and the chaplain, but God knowing his deceited plans didnt let him complete his missions)

Listen to the sound from deep within Its only beginning to find release(stan started a rebellion in heaven..and wanted his own soldiers..the fallen angels)

Ohh the time has come for my dreams to be heard They will not be pushed aside and turned Into your own, all 'cause you won't listen(the time had come for him to fulfill his own conceited plans and did not want God to direct him..he wanted to do his own evil deeds and wasn't willing to relent)

[Chorus] Listen I am alone at a crossroads I'm not at home in my own home(heaven no longer belonged to him..he was cast out) And I've tried and tried To say what’s on my mind(he tried to convince and overthrow God,instead he couldn't..so he rebelled) You should have known Now I'm done believing you(he has no part in Gods holy trinity) You don't know what I'm feeling(he wants to revenge on earth by torturing Gods people) I'm more than what You've made of me(he feels he is more powerful than God which is a lie,he feels God underestimated him) I followed the voice, you gave to me(god had given him the most powerful and wonderful voice in heaven...then he misused it) But now I've gotta find my own(he wants to recruit his followers like beyonce to hell.he has given her the voice that he once had!have u ever wondered why most Illuminati guys are mostly musicians?Satan was the chorister in heaven.it was his gift to sing!!hence he gives it to those that help him recruit..music speaks to the soul..and satan knows this..the bible says my people perish because of lack of knowledge..ignorance to what you listen to is your downfall) You should have listened((he threatens God.how foolish!)

There was someone here inside Someone I thought had died(he was thrown out and now his evil ressurected on earth) So long ago Oh I'm screaming out And my dreams will be heard(his evil is evident in the world) They will not be pushed aside or turned Into your own(he wants nothing to do with Gods word) All 'cause you won't listen

[Chorus] Listen I am alone at a crossroads I'm not at home in my own home And I've tried and tried To say what’s on my mind You should have known Now I'm done believing you You don't know what I'm feeling I'm more than what You've made of me I followed the voice, you gave to me But now I've gotta find my own You should have listened

I don't know where I belong (satan does not belong anywhere,,,he was thrown out of heaven) But I'll be moving on(he hovers around the earth inflicting suffering and evil trying to regain his place) If you don't, if you won't

Listen to the song here in my heart A melody I start, but I will complete(he thinks he will inflict evil on all)

Now I am done believing you You don't know not what I am feeling I'm more than what you've made of me I followed the voice you think you gave to me(and this voice he gives to beyonce and the like)

But now I got to find my own my own Read more at songmeanings.net/songs/view/3530822107858630442/

This cry of independence and self-worth is one of Beyonce's best songs vocally, where she uses her powerful voice to finally convey some of the emotion that some of her other songs have hinted at.

I like the message of "Listen" but I don't like the way Beyonce sings the song. She overdoes it with the vocals and after a while, it gets annoying.

I love this song. The message is so strong and Beyonce's voice is soo powerful. I couldn't imagine no one else singing this song. I think that this song can relate to anyone, in any situation where the person feels like what they want doesn't matter, and they feel like they're all alone.

    -linds "you should've listened.."

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

No Surprises

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
