i think this song is actually mocking the ridicuolous lifestyle of most celebs. no one needs 15 cars or a huge bathroom. shows how superficial and materialistic celebs are, but the average person is jealous of what they have.

yeah it is a bit off in spots, so is do this anymore.
i think this song is great, it sounds like chad having a bit of a go at himself and celebrities in general, especially the line 'we'll all stay skinny cause we just won't eat'. It's great to see he has a sense of humour and can laugh at himself

I agree with lamiga and aimless. The song is an obvious satire of the celebrity lifestyle. Coupled with the irony of being sung by Chad Kroger (a.k.a. a big rockstar) the song makes for a great statement. I love the song and the CD as a whole. It's their best work yet.

i htink its kinda like scarcasm, likw ho needs 15 cars and the lne "we will stay skinny cuz we just wont eat" like sayin we want to be skinny we all do like moviestars but really they go annorexic. I think it's both a rock anthem and a bit of satire. We all want to be rockstars -- the lifestyle is basically everything a person could ever want. But it definitely pokes some fun at that lifestyle at the same time, at how it's shallow and self-destructive. But does that change its desirability? Would that stop anyone from hitting the road with their instruments, whiskey, and dexadrine? Of course not.

Ok, people need to understand, this song is a mock.

You don't need lyrics to listen to this song, its not hard to hear what he's saying.

If you listen closely, you can hear a person with with a very deep voice, almost as if its the Devil, giving what he wants (like selling your soul to the devil), "Tell me what you want." Just after, "This life hasn’t turned out, quite the way I want it to be"

I think of this song as a way of showing how many celebrities, sell there soul to the devil, by buying so much that they dont need.

Now, i'm not saying celebrities should buy a nice car, but why 15 of them?

Nickelback IS a christian band. They are not serious with this song. At least I hope not. I love Nickelback because of there songs that are filled with emotion and passion, not very hooks, and to sell albums JUST to make money.

Just to note, this is my take on the song, this is what i think. Take what you want from it. Songs are interpreted different from a lot of people.

yeah, i think this song is a sarcastic view of the rockstar lifestyle, drugs, money, women...etc. whoever said nickelback is christian is retarded. see "animals", "never again" and "figured you out"
