i like this song pretty well, i didnt know vampires never really die was in the name tho. are they unsigned or something? because i never hear about them on tv or nothing. what do u think the meaning is? the third verse sounds like is is talking about having a baby or something. i know that cant be right tho.

Yes, they have a record label. You never hear about them on TV because the only channel where "music" is discussed is MTV, and MTV fucking sucks and never plays ANYTHING, unless it's so huge it can't be ignored anymore.

they're going to be on warped tour this year, but only for a few of the dates. they have a myspace so if you want to know more about them just go there. they're a really awesome band.

i think its kinda lame they used there name in the song. only rappers do that even tho it does kinda rhyme. and u think they would play this on fuse TV or something. that is the coolest channel, but u only get it with satellite

fuse doesnt really play indie bands either. maybe for like half an hour. this band is extremely awesome, and thus should never appear on MTV. epitaph is doing a very good job of picking up bands....keep up the good work.

as for the song, the last couple of stanzas rock. switching up the whole rythm with screaming. awesome.

To be honest, I don't think I Am Ghost should be played anywhere on TV, 'cause then you'd get the scene kids being all like "Yeah. I'm hardcore, mate. I like I Am Ghost.". And that just ruins it for the rest of us, the real fans. So, KEEP THIS TO YOURSELF. HAVE AT LEAST ONE BAND SAVED FOR THE REAL FANS.

And the song, is just amazing. It's perfect for when you're pissed off + angry - you can just scream the whole thing to yourself. It's such a powerful song. Keep up the good work! I can't wait for the new album. =]

I agree with TNC. It's one of the reasons i hate Hawthorne Heights so much, besides the fact they can't play or sing. I've watched fuse tv a few times at my friends house, but i wouldn't watch it if it were available to me, because, and i don't mean to offend, even though it plays mostly music (different than mtv) it still has way to much advertising. I mean beyond the commercials, there are the subliminal stuff. I'm just tired of this whole thing of "you have to dress this way to listen to this music." I dress as the stereotypical "prep" but i love metal and hardcore just as much as anyone else, and i will fight for my music against anyone who disagrees.

Now i will gracefully stepp off my soapbox and just say, "I like this song, and i think it's talking about..."

This band is really awesome, im soo happy that i decided to pick us this random cd at the store the other day calll Unsound, cuz this so was on there and now that ive listened to it i luvv this band and their music. I espically love the fact they remain off the mainstream, its bteter that way.

This may just be me, but this reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, in a way.
I think its about two lovers killing themselves to be together in eternity.

She is the only one that could have him do what they do (Inspire him to do what he does).

The sun burns them, cause its poetic or something.
They die and are together, just the two of them.



Thats how I am understanding it anyway.
I really love this band. I dont care how popular they get. It doesn't matter unless they sell out or something like that.

I agree the Third Duke.... it pisses me off when people are like, oh yeah they sold out blah blah blah, bands want lots of people to hear their music, and make a living. why when a band gets big because they are awesome that people get pissed and all of a sudden be like oh i dont like them anymore they "sold out". if i like a band and their music is good in my ears and i can rock to it, then i will.. who gives a shit how popular they are or arent. if you like it, listen to it.

i love this song!!! i found out about this band a while ago and when i heard there songs it just seemed so familiar yet i've never heard anything like it before. and is it just me or does it seem there's a refrence to vampires in all of the songs? i don't mind it because i love vampires anyway, it's just... idk

When they say it in this song, it sounds more like a bold statement, or a cry of hope, maybe defiance, and less than just a plea for publicity.

I would like to know the meaning of the name, really.

Three-Two-One's interpretation seems to make the most sense to me. =/ Though maybe he really did love her, but didn't want to change her because he thinks he's a monster?

blakpheonix---actually the name doesn't really mean anything, Steven Juliano---lead singer---was reading a poem and one of the lines said something like "Never again will you see me, i am ghost" and he just liked the sound of it. And Three-two_one's interpretation is really good, I never thought of most of that...but the part where the vampire kills the angel i don't think is right because the album Lovers' Requiem is about an angel and a vampire who fall in love and actually begin a kind of epic battle between Heaven and Hell so they can be together. In the last two songs, the vampire realizes that for them to be together, they would always be fighting that battle, and he wants the angel to be happy so they decide that the best way for them to show their love for each other is actually for them to let each other go. But the interpretation makes a lot of sense besides that last part
