Cultivating sounds
For all the mothers who come near
To find out
Calling pulse bombs a response

With cotton in their ears
And goodbye kisses
For the ones
In the ground

Collecting fallout from the blast

The road leads where it's led
While all the darlings cover Earth
With bare hands

They're blowing all the other kids away

Angels stole the show
The roaring seraph, singing thunder called
The mother's children home

Blowing all the other kids away
Blowing all the other kids away
Blowing all the other kids away
With all of your charm
Blowing all the other kids away
Blowing all the other kids away
Blowing all the other kids away

We communicate by semaphore
No language, we've got flags of our own

The road leads where it's led
And all the darlings cover Earth
With bare hands

They're blowing all the other kids away
They're blowing all the other kids away

Angels stole the show
The roaring seraph, singing thunder called
The mother's children home

Blowing all the other kids away
Blowing all the other kids away
Blowing all the other kids away
We won't be fooled
Blowing all the other kids away
By all of your charm
Blowing all the other kids away
Uncertainty fails as heaven surrounds you
Blowing all the other kids away
(Blowing all the other kids away)
Blowing all the other kids away

Someone here would have to find a way to make this about Iraq or columbine...

I don't think this is about either. It might not be about anything. It's a great song though.

A veiled poetic mission statement of the band. They aim to become a band that touches each person who hears their music on a personal level. They seek to put spirituality and soul into an explosive musical package. ("Angels stole the show, The roaring seraph, singing thunder") Not that what they're doing is wholly original, they just want to do it better than anyone else is at this time. ("The road leads where it's led") In the end they know they're only human and another band will come along and show them up. ("Your clever disguise, Uncertainty fails.")

txfilmguy1 had it partially correct. These guys were offered a lot of money for a record deal, but turned it down in order to keep writing their own music. Their music really does mean very deep things to a lot of people, and they want to keep it that way. This "war", is them fighting record labels and the rest of hollywood trying to turn them into a "plastic band". They are not widely known, but those who do know them, better their lives with their music - there is no better way. FAME is not always better, in fact it is just vanity ("we can see right through, all of your charms"). Listen to the song, 'First Wave Intact', it really shows this war. This song is mainly about the other bands that do whatever they can to make money, even "blowing all the other kids away".

So I was watching this science show called Connections 3, and they were talking about semaphores, which are those tall poles with flags on either side, and in some past time they were used for communications in war. I thought that was so cool because I've been listening to this song for 4 or so years now, and I had no idea what the hell a semaphore was. Anyways, saying that, this song is probably about war.

    My Interpretation

What? How can anyone find any clues that this is about fighting against the record labels?

It's about a real war and there are no hints to prove anything else. Seraph, semaphore, ones in the ground... It's pretty obvious IMO.

    My Opinion

Ever heard of an metaphor, infinityontrial? Also, semaphore wasn't just for war, and people don't only die in wars.In a song like this, there isn't much obvious content.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
