Wind me up
Put me down
Start me off and watch me go
I'll be runnin' circles around you sooner than you know
A little off center
And I'm out of tune
Just kickin' this can along the avenue
But I'm alright

'Cause it's easy once you know how it's done
You can't stop now
It's already begun
You feel it runnin' through your bones
And you jerk it out
And you jerk it out

Shut up
Hush your mouth
Can't you hear you talk too loud
No can't hear nothin' 'cause I got my head up in the clouds
I bite off anything that I can chew
I'm chasing cars up and down the avenue
But that's okay

'Cause it's easy once you know how it's done
You can't stop now
It's already begun
You feel it runnin' through your bones
And you jerk it out

'Cause it's easy once you know how it's done
You can't stop now
It's already begun
You feel it runnin' through your bones
And you jerk it out
And you jerk it out

And you jerk it out
And you jerk it out
Oh baby don't you know
You really gotta jerk it out
When you jerk it out
Oh baby don't you know
You really gotta jerk it out
When you jerk it out
Oh baby don't you know you
You really gotta jerk it out

You guys are all actually wrong, I haven't heard anyone get it right yet. I got in touch with a member of Ceasars, and they informed me that the intention of the song isn't at any certain thing, but when it was written, it was written with the intent of shooting up methamphetamine (speed for you slow types). He said it was sad to see everyone assume it was written about sex, or masturbation.

    This song is about methamphetamine.

"Wind me up Put me down Start me off and watch me go I'll be running circles around you sooner than you know" Hyperactivity.

"Cause it's easy once you know how it's done You can't stop now It's already begun You feel it running through your bones and you jerk it out So you jerk it out" You feel the endorphins running through your body, and you jerk around. It makes you tweak.

"Shut up, hush your mouth Can't you hear you talk too loud No I can't hear nothing because I got my head up in the clouds I bite off anything I can chew Chasing cars up and down the avenue But that's okay" meth makes you talk a mile a minute and someones telling him to shut up, but he's saying he doesn't care because his head is up in the clouds. he's high.

a reference is made to chewing, meth makes you grind your teeth.

"chasing cars up and down the avenue." super energetic.

could be about masterbation also i guess, but it makes more sense to me this way.

Uh so does it bother anyone else that this song just talks about jerking it out? I mean, what the hell, is this the masturbation anthem or what?

    Song Meaning

Okay people, first, this song was on an Ipod commercial, and SSX 3 which is a PlayStation 2 game thats rated E for EVERYONE, so if this song was about masturbation than I dont think the FCC would let be on a public television. Second, the whole Cause it's easy once you know how it's done You can't stop now It's already begun You feel it running through your bones and you jerk it out So you jerk it out is rather misleading but if you think about it, its talking about dancing, not masturbating cause otherwise the part about kicking the can along the avenue wouldent make sence at nither would the part about chasing cars. or the very beginning of the song, the beginning of the song is talking about going crazy, so, with all that said, this song is really about letting loose and just being urself and not caring what people think about you. Third, this song is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

This song can mean so many different things. I think the Meth one is the right one.

But before I read that I really thought it might be a breakup song and he's finally getting his energy and freedom back and he's over the chick.

And also it could be about masturbation too, I guess.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
