Lyrics for California Über Alles as interpreted by Ice

California Über Alles Lyrics
I am Governor Jerry Brown
My aura smiles
And never frowns
Soon I will be president...

Carter power will soon go away
I will be Fuhrer one day
I will command all of you
Your kids will meditate in school

California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California

Zen fascists will control you
100% natural
You will jog for the master race
And always wear the happy face
Close your eyes, can't happen here
Big Bro' on white horse is near
The hippies won't come back you say
Mellow out or you will pay

California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California

Now it is 1984
Knock knock at your front door
It's the suede/denim secret police
They have come for your uncool neice

Come quietly to the camp
You'd look nice as a drawstring lamp
Don't you worry, it's only a shower
For your clothes here's a pretty flower...

DIE on organic poison gas
Serpent's egg's already hatched
You will croak, you little clown
When you mess with President Brown

California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California.

Great song, but what exactly did Jerry Brown do? Sounds like some nazi hippie freak...

He was like a hippy sort of gov. The songs was about how easily leaders can turn fascist (don't know if Brown was really a fascist but he was kinda leaning that way.)

Deuschland (or however you spell that) Uber Alles was also used by the Nazis as one of their 'theme songs.'

One of the top 5 single song recordings of all time. I love this song, the beginning bass line each verse, everything about it is amazeing. It is the reason I think they are the staple punk rock band of all time. The Ramones sang too much about drugs, and had a bit to much pop in their songs. And the sex pistols, allthough just a politically incorrect and talented, were sadly the first punk rock boy band.

Jerry Brown once said "People today are looking for a leader". Which disgusted Jello Biafra and that's why he wrote this song which he calls "a warning of fascism in disguise." See? You do learn interesting things from vh1.

Doichland (I think thats how its spelled) Uber Alles wasn't a NAZI theme song, it was the German national anthem after Hitler came to power and changed it. it roughly translates to "Germany Over All".

Well, not really. Hitler was nazi, but I'm sure he wanted something to fit all of Germany so the people wouldn't want him out of office. Germany doesn't always equal nazi.

Germany was not always nazi and isnt Nazi now. But during hilters regime the government was Nazi. So if the anthem was changed to germany uber alles during hitlers regime it is a Nazi anthem. Even if it dosen't support Nazi ideals in its song text it is still a Nazi song.

well, i think i need to help u guys on this german anthem thing. "Deutschland (that´s how u spell it) über alles" means "Germany over all", and it is a part out of the first verse of a song Haydn composed. the third verse of this song is the german national anthem. hitler and his nazi guys used the first verse as a military song so the soldiers feel proud or whatever. the first verse is now forbidden in germany because of hitler´s misuse. it is now declared as a kind of nazi song because it is illegal to sing or posess. and if anybody asks himself why i know this, well i´m german.
