@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Tell all my friends I'm dead
I'm leaving you
This time it's for good
Tell all my friends that I'm dead
It won't be long before you forget
My na-aa-aa-ame
Can you tell that I'm losing myself?
I think I'm trying too hard to
Let it show
To let you know
Don't trace your footsteps back to me
'Cause I've been gone for a long time
Waiting on the sidelines
Hoping for a chance to play
Well, I thought I would never leave anything behind
I also never thought I'd say
Tell all my friends I'm dead
I'm leaving you
This time it's for good
Tell all my friends that I'm dead
It won't be long before you forget
My na-aa-aa-ame
Can't you tell that I don't know myself?
I need someone to remind me
To let it go
Please let me know
Don't trace your footsteps back to me
'Cause I've been gone for a long time
Waiting on the sidelines
Hoping for a chance to play
Well, I thought I would never leave anything behind
I also never thought I'd say
And if I had the chance
(Had the chance)
To do it all again
I wouldn't expect anything less
And if I had the chance
(Had the chance)
To do it all again
I wouldn't expect
I wouldn't expect anything less
Forget my name
I'm leaving you
This time it's for good
Tell all my friends that I'm dead
It won't be long before you forget
My na-aa-aa-ame
Can you tell that I'm losing myself?
I think I'm trying too hard to

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
it's about being lost, wanting to find out who you really are, and needing to get away from everyone and everything that has to do with your past.
"i've been gone for a long time/ waiting on the sidelines / hoping for a chance to play"
he doesn't like the way his lifes been turning out. he wants to start over, and he doesn't want anyone to think about him, or who he was before.
"can you tell/that i don't know myself/i need someone to remind me"
he wants to meet someone new who will help him find out who he really is. it's not about suicide, it's about self-discovery and hopelessness and, basically, growing up.

your tracklisting is wrong from what i've got..
actually, you might be right, i just found out my "Its been a Summer" has a large, really noticeable skip in it. My rip must be screwed up in some way. Someone plz verify this though
where can i get the CD? (or ripp for that matter)?
ltb is right....by the way, this is an amazing cd
Ltb, your track listing is for the ADVANCE copy, the Retail version is slightly different and that is what Alucard is showing, also the Retail version is supposed to have two additional tracks which i'm a little confused about because they are listed after "the story so far" which is has the little secret thing after about 23 minutes of silence...
