Very diverse tastes in music. Mainly a metalhead (big Lamb of God fan) but I'm also into Indie stuff like Fitz and The Tantrums and The Black Keys. If it's got a cool beat and catchy lyrics, I probably like it.
Grandson – Riptide Lyrics | 4 months ago |
"I get high to leave all these problems on the ground Then to my surprise, they're right there when I come back down" So relatable to me. Pretty much the entire song is relatable for me. I feel that I have been caught up in a riptide my whole life. |

Rainbow Kitten Surprise – When It Lands Lyrics | 4 months ago |
This song is catchy as fuck! "Sugar city Pretty magic Got me good vibes Thank God I ain't driving Traffic vision Blurred blue bleedin' That's a black out ladder It don't matter anyhow I'm climbing Keep my good vibes And check coats for cool climates In common we got Good friends rolled light on split ends Pretty magic Traffic addicts Now I don't really know where you stay at, can I get an address? Never mind my phone dead forget it I don't really know where to bake that, less you tryna get in In which case my phone dead, forget it And I never answer calls when I'm in the kitchen Cooking It's just a thing It's out And I never call back when my friends all looking at me in the car 'Cause it'd be all they wanna talk about Oh you tryna to get a deal? A deal? A deal Sorry on the real But my eyes and my ears don't work well And the floor keeps sliding out my heels I can't feel 'em am I still dreaming? Skull on the table a still life Is this still life? What's the meaning are we still dealing? Feel like I can't act right Oh right Sugar city Pretty magic Got me good vibes Thank God I ain't driving Traffic vision Blurred blue bleedin' That's a black out ladder It don't matter anyhow I'm climbing Keep my good vibes And check coats for cool climates In common we got Good friends rolled light on split ends Pretty magic Traffic addicts" That shit goes through my head all day long! |
Mad Season – River of Deceit Lyrics | 4 months ago |
"A head full of lies is the weight tied around my waist" Still gives me the chills every single time! I am an AIC fan OG. When Facelift was first released on cassette I straight wore that fucker out. Although I was not into Man in the Box at all, but the rest of that album (tape?) was the absolute shit! The first time I heard River of Deceit I wept. No bullshit. Layne's vocals are haunting and soul wrenching with seemingly no effort on his part. In conjunction with Mike McCready pouring his soul through his guitar just a masterpiece in my opinion. A couple of years ago I had the distinct pleasure of turning my wife onto this song. I don't know how she went all this time without hearing it but her reaction was exactly the same as mine was the first time I heard it. Got to do the same thing for her with Love of My Life by Queen. I think that seeing the way the music I grew up with and have listened to it off-handedly sometimes affects her and the raw emotions that the songs invoke in her allow me to hear them in a completely different way so I am able to share something remarkable and somewhat mystical with my lovely wife. Isn't music just the most amazing gift in this otherwise shitty existence? |
Rainbow Kitten Surprise – It's Called: Freefall Lyrics | 11 months ago |
@[julesso:47276] Very compelling interpretation. I think that a lot of people who have been through a bunch of shit and have been through some form of treatment, in particular, drug rehab, would find a connection to this song. |

Something about the way this song is arranged and constructed speaks to me. It's unique, it's catchy and it's both dark and light simultaneously. I particularly like when the drums come in right near the end. I can't explain it but when that breakdown hits it gives me chills every time. My interpretation is he's saying that if you can't find any more paths to take in your life, there's always the option to jump off a building. It's called freefall. |

Arctic Monkeys – Arabella Lyrics | 1 year ago |
I dig how the Monkeys construct their songs. Very unique style and so refreshing compared to modern "music" and the "cookie-cutter" sound you are subjected to these days. |
