Brewer & Shipley – One Toke Over The Line Lyrics | 14 years ago |
He just wants like a chill high and shit, nothing too conscious-expanding, but he had one too many hits man and then he's just like, I fucking opened the door to my mind a little too wide, I gotta sit down. |

Last song off of Let It Bloom, (best BL album). Who knew garage rock could sound so beautiful? When that baby piano comes in, it kills me. |

The Clean – Thumbs Off Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Correct(er) lyrics: This little boy's like all the rest cause he knows just what's inside him He's never been put to the test cause he knows just where to find them All his life, his head in his tea You know he never had no problems But the house he lived in was so shitty but she still kept 'em coming And who's gonna pay the bills today And who's gonna turn the girls away And who's gonna make you feel okay And who's gonna take the pills today Yeah, you know it can't be me well, you know it can't be me Sometimes I just feel too much and I don't wanna feel at all He said to his mother one day ago "Mum I really think it's different" She said "Son, you'll have to go you know it doesn't do much to keep ya" The day was wet as he walked on the road you know his head was full of sorrow Little did he know he'd never see his own home again And who's gonna pay the bills today And who's gonna turn the girls away And who's gonna make you feel okay And who's gonna take the pills today Yeah, you know it can't be me well, you know it can't be me Sometimes I just feel too much and I don't wanna feel at all He said to his friends "c'mon let's go, I'll take you to the shoulder" He said "No, no. Look here my friend, you make me feel much older" They left him alone sitting on the road You know, his head was full of marble Little did he know he'd never see the words he knew so well And who's gonna pay the bills today And who's gonna turn the girls away And who's gonna make you feel okay And who's gonna take the pills today Yeah, you know it can't be me well, you know it can't be me Sometimes I just feel too much and I don't wanna feel at all This is probably not entirely correct but a bit more accurate. |
The King Khan & BBQ Show – Teenage Foetus Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is probably my favorite KK&BBQ song. I'm pretty sure it's about a teenage girl getting an abortion. |
The King Khan & BBQ Show – Pig Pig Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Pretty obvious. It's about eating shit. I never realized King Khan & BBQ could make such poetry. |
Black Out Band – Video Games Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Daniel Johnston – Funeral Home Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The live version on 1990 is hilarious and brilliant. I'm gonna play it at my funeral and hopefully everyone will sing along. "Millions have died already. And you're going to too. So sing along won't you?" |
Daniel Johnston – Chord Organ Blues Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It's about when Dan moved in with his brother and recorded Yip/Jump Music in his bro's garage. Daniel discovered the chord organ in his brother's garage and it's used on most of the songs on that album. |
Daniel Johnston – Hey Joe Lyrics | 15 years ago |
One of the greatest thing ever written. There's a heaven and there's a star for you. Don't be afraid. Ever. Cause everything's gonna work out. Whether you know it or not. |
Buzzcocks – Orgasm Addict Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is the diary to every 15 year old boy. |
The Clash – 48 Hours Lyrics | 16 years ago |
One of my favorite the Clash tracks. Very underrated. It's just about trying to find something to do on Saturday and Sunday, and hating going back to your "jail cell" on Monday. |
Arcade Fire – Intervention Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I'm pretty sure it's about how shit the world is, people are less humane, governments are more corrupt, and there is still a lack of revolutionary thought. "Workin' for the church while your family dies" means living in a society that's killing you. "Who's gonna throw the very first stone" is asking who's gonna start the change or start the revolution. All the lyrics make alot more sense when you look at it that way. |
