Well, considering the fact that Brandon is openly Mormon, I don't understand how you could expect his music not to have religious themes. I would go so far as to say that at least half of the songs he's written have have at least a little bit of an undertone to them. That said, I'm not sure how you could be a fan of The Killers if you don't like a song because it deals with religion. It's kind of childish to dislike a very good song for that. Spirituality is something we struggle with as humans, and Brandon does so in song (quite beautifully, I might add). To discount that entire aspect of life and existence is to say that so much music, art, and literature should be discounted for its religious themes. I'm not sure why your comment got to me so much, but I can't help but reply. |

This song is pretty straight forward... I've missed hearing songs that just tell a simple, uncomplicated story. I literally laughed out loud when I heard him say she met a dealer. I totally wasn't expecting that. I'm so looking forward to having this album (well, the songs I don't have yet xD). |

Ahhhhhhh. I love this song! It's so adorable. First date, falling in love, meeting in the middle of the night just because you have to see eachother...SO cute. Keith keeps coming back with one of the things he does brilliantly: a happy, upbeat song with great guitar work and lyrics. He is incredible. He always records songs that would sound terrible if done by anyone else. |

I was SO freaking EXCITED when I found the change in the guitar line in each repeat of the chorus. The first one has two notes after "Speak for yourself". The second goes into a more melodic riff, then the third has three notes, melodic, the fourth has four and the fifth has five. I was PUMPED when I figured this out yesterday. Go listen to it and see what I mean. It was exciting to find that. Anyway, I freaking love this song. I think this is one of my favorite albums so far. So amazing. I'm not going to interpret the song right now, I just wanted to tell you guys that I found that. |

This song is incredible. I stumbled upon it a couple of weeks ago while searching for some of KU's imports, and became obsessed. I'm actually listening to it now. I played it on repeat for a week. It's such a great song. And, as with every other song, this tells a true story for me. I love how I can relate to every single song Keith does. That's the mark of a true artist. And the music with this song is just amazing. I'm in love with it. |

I'm in love with this song. Oh my gosh. It's amazing. I just love the attitude he has in it. He wants her to be happy and knows that she'll be happy with him, but when she wants to go looking for someone else to be happy with, he lets her. Then she comes back. It's just SO great. I'm kind of in the same situation. I'm in love with my best friend, and I know he'd be happy with me, but he doesn't want to believe it, yet I just have this gut feeling that we're supposed to be together. Maybe that's why I love it so much. But, it's just AMAZING. And I agree with emotina. It's INCREDIBLE live. And the video...aahh. I love it. Especially when he says 'But I told you so. The way he says it is just...ahh. I can't get over it. |

They are one of my go-to bands for when I'm feeling down or I'm in a less than happy situation (the other being the Goo Goo Dolls). Beautiful, full of wisdom, and showing an incredible amount of love for God. |

I can't believe there are no comments on this amazing song. He's talking about his last wife and the ways he's trying to get over her and how he tries to duplicate the feelings he had with her. Like how he tries all these death defying stunts to replicate being "All tangled up with you/And trying to catch my breath". He can't get over her, but he'll do whatever it takes to attempt it. |

A rundown of the video: Although it begins with him in jail, you get the reasoning closer to the end. He gets drunk and into a bar fight, then is sent to the drunk tank. I assume he's on vacation alone when this happens. The girlfriend takes this opportunity to wuss out of the relationship and move out. He uses his one phone call to call her, or he calls after he gets out, I'm not sure. You don't get a good sense of how long he's in jail, but it's long enough for it to be daylight when his head is shaved. After he gets out he hitch-hikes and barters his way across the country to get home. When he gets there, his house is empty and his message is on the answering machine, unplayed. She left right after he did. I love this song. I could listen to it on repeat for days. I love the religious undertones, purposeful or not. It's an amazing song with amazing writing. |

I can't believe there aren't any comments on this song. It's amazing. I think it's about someone who has never been in or has had horrid luck with love, and they're just wishing for the right person to come along and wipe all the pain away.
