The first part of the song is a collection of advertising slogans telling us how to live. The second part, this person is lost and has no guidance. ("And I have no compass, And I have no map) He is confused and has no idea what to do with himself. He tells someone else what all the commercialism is doing and they are possibly ignoring what is going on. ("Get your head out of the mud baby") He goes along with the current trends ("I'm in the slipstream") and go overground with everyone else. |

Adding to what I said - I think "still you hold on, as the light is fading out" means the girl is desperate for the relationship to continue but it is fading out fast. The "lustre" from her eyes is the longing for the guy to restore it. The relationship is ebbing and decaying away as the guy feels he has to move on. The pulsing in her veins is her desire to be with him even after he's broken up with her. |

Great song; a forgotten classic. First heard this in '98 I think on The Chart Show (an amazing music show with no presenters); good times. The only people I know have heard of Aqua only know Barbie Girl. :( Anyway; this a great upbeat song, I agree with calmingdeepblue; you can't help but smile when you hear this. |

One of Ash's best and underated. This song means so much to me; reminded me of my first girlfriend when I was with her. Candy always made me feel great inside. I agree with theTyrant; assuring people who are single that it's alright to be alone and they are not the only ones. My favourite line will always be "You can make it on your own". |

The original 2005 version isn't on any EP; it's on the Ambush Reality Myspace page. The much better version I think; the album one hasn't got as good screams at the start. Great song; one of their best, it can applied to any gun game aswell as LQ, could work with paintball with the energiser being the marshall supplying you with extra ammo and gas. Great fun by the way. |

One of the best Oasis songs. Definitely one of Noel's best performances aswell; talking of which, I think he should include this in his acoustic sets. Would work well alongside Talk Tonight and Cast No Shadow. An underappreciated song as said above; it should be on The Masterplan and Stop the Clocks. |

No comments? I think it's a guy dreaming of a everlasting love. "Gone the dream, it's all faded now" - he wakes up and realises he is only dreaming. He empathises with those in a similar situation to him "I feel for you and everybody, dreaming in your beds". Beautiful song, one of Ash's best. |

I think this one's about holding on to a memory and how the person realizes that we can't "keep a hold on time" and freeze life. The person is lying on the grass and talking to his love about he wants everything to stay as it is and that they should make the most of the time they have. One of the best on Nu-Clear Sounds. |

I think it's about a failing relationship and how the girl's life is being torn apart and "ebbing away" as a result of it. She still loves the guy "although there's still pulsing in your veins" but he wants to end the relationship "you can never tell her, how close you are to letting go". One of Ash's best and definitely a highlight of the album. |
