Rush – Dog Years Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think "Or a span of geological time" is supposed to be "O'er a span of geological time." It doesn't really make sense to want to rather BE a span of geological time. |
Rush – Limbo Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Anyone know what's being said at around 2:54? |
Portugal. The Man – 1000 Years Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I agree with everything you just said. |

Portugal. The Man – Guns and Dogs Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It kind of sounds like there's an "and" before the "if I never..." lines, but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell? I've left it out for now. |
Danko Jones – Sugar High Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I submitted the correct lyrics to the report thread, they should be fixed in a few days. |
Danko Jones – R.I.P. RFTC Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This line I guessed, I really can't make it out: "I got sturdy receding pages" Maybe it's a reference to an RFTC song, I've never heard RFTC so I really don't know. |
Portugal. The Man – Bad, Bad Levi Brown Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Levi Brown is also an NFL player. |
Portugal. The Man – Gold Fronts Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is my favorite song off that album. I thought they were saying "showdown" instead of "shouting" at first, though. |
Minus the Bear – Burying Luck Lyrics | 16 years ago |
What about in Memphis & 53rd when he dreams about a man driving to the desert with another man in the back seat - any relation you think? |
Minus the Bear – Memphis & 53rd Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Thing the man in the dream when he's in the desert is the same man from the desert who buries luck? |
Minus the Bear – Drilling Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Well since "ex-patriot" isn't a word and doesn't make sense, it should've been obvious expatriate was the correct line. |
Theory of a Deadman – Little Smirk Lyrics | 16 years ago |
lyrics were way off, they'll be corrected soon |
Fabri Fibra – In Italia Lyrics | 16 years ago |
from the new edition version of the album, not the original 2007 |
Burro Banton – Badder Dan Dem Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I guess he's just trying to say he's been making music a lot longer than guys like Bounty Killer and Beenie Man who get all the credit today. |
Papoose – Stylin' Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I just wrote them down as I listened in GTA4, I'm not 100% sure on all the lyrics. |
Minus the Bear – Michio's Death Drive Lyrics | 16 years ago |
While they have many titles unrelated to the songs, most (if not all) of the track titles on Menos El Oso don't fall into that category. Many of the titles are direct references to the lyrics (ie: Memphis and 53rd) or at least loosely related (ie: The Pig War). There's probably some significance here too. |
The Mars Volta – Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Does he say soñando or sonando? |
Weerd Science – Ordinary Joe Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I was joking, relax. |
Mims – This Is Why I'm Hot Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"So when I hit da ???? I watch you get it on da floor" Every version I've heard (radio version and uncut) sounds like it has a missing word there. Is something edited out? I don't think he's saying "H" like these lyrics claim. |
Danko Jones – Time Heals Nothing Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I couldn't find lyrics anywhere else online, so I did my best to transcribe them. If you know any mistakes please point them out and I'll fix them. |

Bon Jovi – Wanted Dead or Alive Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Before getting into music, he was actually an inventor, and he had built an automatic horse made of steel - but he had lots of trouble with patents and almost ended up being stuck in court with General Electric. If it weren't for this, the band may never have been formed. This song is a tribute to his origins. |
Coheed and Cambria – No World for Tomorrow Lyrics | 16 years ago |
iforgot: if you're going to submit lyrics, please format them properly You really need to fix this, and all the other lyrics from NWFT. |
Coheed and Cambria – Gravemakers and Gunslingers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Then you're an even bigger problem - not only are you putting incorrect crap lyrics on here, but you're helping them spread around too. As they are now, this is one of the least accurate versions available anywhere, so good work nub. |
Coheed and Cambria – Gravemakers and Gunslingers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's "Now who said 'Don’t bother knocking?'" not "Now who’s the 'Don’t bother knocking?'" that line doesn't even make sense your way Don't just copy and paste lyrics from other sites, make sure they're correct first - all of you. Think before you submit. |
The Streets – Two Nations Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's "macs" not "max" as in MAC 10/11/90/etc. firearms. The next line is supposed to be: "but we still got two twos we're inclined to pack" as in .22 handguns In the next section, it's "the police just SHOT you dead" |
Blue Öyster Cult – Joan Crawford Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Anyway, correct lyrics: Junkies down in Brooklyn are going crazy They’re laughing just like hungry dogs in the street Policemen are hiding behind the skirts of little girls Their eyes have turned the color of frozen meat No, no, no, no No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Catholic schoolgirls have thrown away their mascara They chain themselves to the axles of big Mack trucks The sky is filled with herds of shivering angels The fat lady laughs, “Gentlemen, start your trucks!” No, no, no, no No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Christina Mother’s home No, no, no, no Christina No, no, no, no, no, no Come to mother No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no Christina No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen from the grave Joan Crawford has risen (taken from the band's official website: http://www.blueoystercult.com/Studio/lyrics/a-JC.html) |
Blue Öyster Cult – Joan Crawford Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Joan Crawford wasn't fat, though. |
Blue Öyster Cult – Burnin' For You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Fire of Unknown Origin is an amazing album. Anyway, this song is about self-immolation, it was based on Eric Bloom's incident where he accidentally started a fire in his apartment after getting in an argument with his girlfriend at the time. |
Prize Fighter Inferno – Run Like Hell Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'll bury the cautious foot of man or I've buried the cautious foot of man |

"I fought the decisions that call And lost my part as the revelant piece in this I will come reformed In short, for the murders of those I court I bless the hour that holds your fall I will kill you all" Are we sure this is all correct? |
Led Zeppelin – Whole Lotta Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Anyone notice how much the tribal drum section sounds like the one in Day of the Baphomets on the new The Mars Volta album? |
N.E.R.D. – Lapdance Lyrics | 17 years ago |
These lyrics are inaccurate. |
Minus the Bear – El Torrente Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Seems like the girl's death was suicide, not an accident or a murder. The girl's neck was broken, and she was at the base of the tree - as though she hanged herself. |

This song is about someone who wants to be given shelter. |

Glossolalia = speaking in tongues Tetragrammaton = YHWH, the name of God |
The Mars Volta – Day Of The Baphomets Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I disagree with the cited lyrics for the line "Our centipedes will pick the dead" I'm unsure about the centipedes part, but after that the words are definitely "will get there's yet" not "will pick the dead." |
The Mars Volta – Day Of The Baphomets Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Are we sure it's "raise your entrails" and not "raze your entrails" as in "burn your entrail?" Burnt offerings were common pagan rituals to the gods. |
Rush – The Weapon (Part II of Fear) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Nope, the song has nothing to do with nuclear weaponry. |
