Nu-freak you are very wrong. I know that "you knows it" is glc's catchphrase ffs but listen to "we are back" or "nine carat habit" by them, you will hear that they use the phrase "you knows ye safe" all the time. Ye obviously being a shortened version of you're so "you knows you're" is also something they say. I lived right next to Newport and I also obviously know a lot more of their tunes than you do so I am going to have a much better idea than you. |

Not bollocks, the version I had was off a live version they did a few months before the single was out. They just talk over the intro bit "this is a tune all about wanting to be a robot you may have seen er that show with short circuit y know i wanna be alive number 5.... it's a bit similar.... serious man....check it out and then go straight into "binatone, spectrum" And on another clean version they've got the intro but it's shorter. "Adam - Do you read me over? i am going down the shop to buy ten fags. do you need a drink? or some crisps? You can't go down the shops dressed like that man! Yep that's 'cos the intro and outro weren't on the early versions. I put this up in April before the single was out They put the intro and outro on the greatest hits but it's not on some of the earlier versions and there's a slightly different intro on another version I've got. The tune they're rapping over is a sample from Rumors by Club Nouveaux. |

Yeah, there are a few mistakes in some of the others as well but I haven't got round to sorting them all out yet so if you spot one just point it out. I'm leaving "you knows you're Delia Smith" in 'cos it sounds much more like that.. You Knows It is the main catch phrase but they're always saying variations like "you knows you're safe" and that fits better with the song anyway. |
