I think the lyrics to this song only make up half of the meaning--the rest being found in the actual music...perhaps this is true for all songs, but I really feel the ache and the feeling of identity in the musical portion... |

This song gave my friends and I the hardest time! One of them said it doesn't have any meaning at all, but I completely disagree. This song is about beauty being impossible to cage or otherwise contain. When you try, it "falls through your pocket" and "flys away with the wind." "Beauty like that knows no home." This is my second favourite Dispatch song, "The General" being my all time first choice. It is a story about searching, about sleep, about identity, and the less tangible aspects of all three. |

This is definitely a toe-tappin' tune, but the part I love best is the line "If you would only listen you might just realize what you're missing, you're missing me." It explains miscommunication so very well. I can't add to it, it's just genius. |
