i was stoned when i 1st heard this song, and the only part that stuck in my head was, "love, love, love". well later when my wife and I got pregant, i was not stoned and listening to dave and tim and this song came on. Ever since that day, I have sung this song to my son. he's now 5 and still asks me to sing it to him. though now he has me sing "stay or leave" followed by "christmas song" and last but not least "seek up". this is our bedtime ritual. |

this song is 100% about his son. it's about how the boy's mother takes him away from the dad (the singer). the chorus is about her. she took it all away when she takes his son, and throws it in his face like any bitch woman would do. and not all women are bitches, but when u have a son or a kid involved thats how they wanna hurt u. this song is awesome!! i have a 2yr old son about to have a daughter. i can't imagine having them taken away from me. and i would and will do anything to protect them, the unseen and the unclean. thats what this song is about, the love for his kid. |

this is a truly powerful song. you can find on the "live at luther college" album. it's about how he is questioning god about taking certain people, mainly a little girl who dies of cancer. i'm not sure, but i think it's maybe the little girl who is on the inside cover of "under the table and dreaming". this song is awesome, powerful and sad. |

i have a 2 year son. when he was inside the womb, i would always sing this song to him. you know him being the "healthy little giggling dribbling baby boy". we knew he was a boy. but shortly after he was born, my wife left me alone w/him and i couldn't get him to stop crying. i turned on a "christmas song" as a last resort, and he truly stopped crying. it was unreal. |

i wish i knew what this song was really about. i believe that it's about the time that he spends on the road and how he longs to be w/ his loved one. but yet when they are together, she isn't happy. this is a beautiful song and i truly doubt that he wrote about a business colleague, but who knows. |
