here's the lyrics in English... you get advised: they are quite nonsense! anyway, i think the song is cool... maybe devendra needs to take some Spanish classes... ;-) thinking / every day, every hour / thinking of you walking / my basket full of mulberries / they're for you early / by the day and the night / i dream of you larilarilarilarairirairirai... eating pears / in Santa María de La Feira / what a pleasure going there good people / only enjoys, there's never sorrow / there's no reason to suffer playing / in the sea, in the sand / living this way larilarilarilarairirairirai... white window / oh, i want the morning to come / want it to come back once again waiting / that's the way i spend my time / waiting for Inaniel and praying / for her warmth, fo her breath / over my skin my friend, i tell you everything's going right on here, but sleeping my friend i beg you to help me, me searching / with my anchor on the tide / swimming on you i'm already going / hear me, i'm telling you / i love you by the valley / i found a hidden river / i drown on it and i remember / it was warm, but i was cold / i was going to die Bianca / oh Paloma and Angelina / finally i saw you finally i saw you... ohhh... |
Devendra Banhart – Quedate Luna Lyrics | 18 years ago |
ploison, sorry to disappoint you but "Pero el mundo es tuyo, esta noche eres mía" means "But the world is yours, tonight you are mine". That's what he says to the moon when "she" answers "bueno, ya estoy cansada y mis hijas ya me llaman viejita / el pelo tan seco y mi piel ya no brilla" which means "well, i'm tired and my daughters are telling me i'm old / my hair is so opaque and my skin ain't radiant anymore" to his question "¿qué tomas lunita y porqué estás tan amarilla?" ( "tell me little moon what are you drinking and why are you so yellow?") |
Depeche Mode – A Pain That I'm Used To Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i still haven't sat down to try to understand what this song is all about, i just know it's so great --sounds so deep and has an incredible amount of energy somewhat retained by something that doesn't let him scream louder. i think a great remix could make that thing explode to let all that energy out. great. |
