ha ha ha./ that tie comment was awesome.. it does suck when you do something, then someone famous does it, and you look like a fan, when you aren't! ahhh! i just wanted to say, avril is not punk, did she say she was? that is amusing if she did. but either way, some people like music with meaning, some want a love song for their boyfriends who haven't even gone through puberty. awesome girls like sleater-kinney, tegan and sara, bikini kill, bonfire madigan, ani difranco, melissa ferrick, hell yeah. that's if you like a type of political rock. which is what punk is about and the folky rockish stuff i like. punk is not about your boyfriend being an alternative skateboarder. anyways, this music is directed toward youngins obviously, like, 12, 13... some others can like it i guess. it depends if your in the mood for catchy pop like avril... or some ani difranco going all jazzy on her new live album. mmmm. that is talent. when i write a song it probably sounds worse that avril's, plus my atempts at guitar suck. so, i shouldn't talk.. but i would sing about other topics, like my interests on the world. xoxox - rachel |

OK, now I know where this is from. cuz I have the new cd! but the lyrics were posted before the cd came out. I went to the store and got it right away. this is probably my fav on the new cd. the new cd is very different.. I like the part in this song about going to jail with only boys and getting out for good behavior. it's a secret message of their gayness! mmmm. personally, I am not a fan of brittney. but, it depends on what your definition of music is. of course, 12 year old girls haven't had much expierence in life, so the only thing they can relate to is little love songs by brittney. but, supporting all the lame rock like creed on the radio, can possibly be just as bad. both are crazily rich and we follow them like lambs to a slaughter. but, it's all relative, to what people think music is. personally, I like songs with political meanings, things I can relate to and believe in. UNDERGROUND stuff that proves it can be rich, but is not. therefor it's not lame like linkin park, etc.... bands like bikini kill, sleater-kinney, tegan and sara.... bitch and animal. AND some rich ones, who at least pay to get the point across, like the goddess Ani Difranco. nothing against linkin park fans, but now they are living the wonderful "rock star" life....... which is good, if you believe in working hard and having talent to become rich, and famous.. but, personally i like bands that won't conform, they are offered deals to make music videos and they JUST SAY NO to all the corporate bullshit.... they have a different dream.... but, personally, if i was a musician, i would want to be famous, and i'd preach all my political views, and i'd spend lots of money on funding them, and the money left over, i could live comfortably.
