I think this really captures the feeling of what it's like to slowly lose someone, and spend days and days and days in the ICU waiting room to see if something happens. For me, it was my mother, and it was the most difficult thing I will ever experience (though not something I would ever want to forget), and this song gets it. |

I think this song is about a relationship in which there is a lot of fighting, mostly caused by him and his infidelity, but they always end up making up... which is where the sexual innuendo comes into play. |

I agree about the broken relationship, but it sounds like he is in a moment long after the relationship ended and is missing it. Like a longing for your first love sort of thing, but she never forgave him for whatever happened, and he wants forgiveness and to recreate what they used to have. |

This song made me picture looking at a smiling face in a magazine. An attractive, care-free pleasant face. And then comparing oneself to such a face, thinking "someone with such a nice face would never treat me the way my friends have treated me," or "if i had such a nice face, my friends wouldn't treat me the way they've treated me." Either way. It's a good good song. |

Err. I just want to say that sex and love are not the same thing. Sex is just sex. Love is just love. Some people, particularly teenage females (understandably, many of us, myself included, are quite insecure, and our society tends to put a lot of pressure on females to be a certain amount of sexy). But let's please remember that different things are right for different people, and no one likes having someone else's values pushed upon them.
In any case this is a lovely song with a lovely message. Although it's most literally about sex (I don't necessarily agree that it's about virginity strictly, as virginity is a concept I dun really like), I think it can also pertain to basic emotions and relationships. Stay away from relationships (sexual or otherwise) that will be harmful to you, basically. |
