I think this song is sweet. Different from most of the other songs they rock out to; more melancholy. Then again this album alone is that way. There's only maybe like 3 songs they thrash, and the rest are different. It makes me wonder what they were feelin at the time they wrote this album. I mean their new album isn't like this one was. And I'm not saying this in a bad way. I love this album by them. Its probably my favorite. It's just cool though. |

You know if you're a Thursday fan if you sit there and play this track on Kazaa or iMesh and you have to click over to the song 'Streaks in the Sky' with the little pause inbetween for where its switching tracks (unlike the CD where it flows perfectly). This is an amazing intro... basically one big build up to another fantastic song. Good times. |

Its a great song and all... but my friend came to a conclusion and told me its about masturbation. Its one of those songs where you'd never think its about something like that but he thinks its about masturbation. And if you listen to the lyrics and kinda think about it, yeah its about masturbation. It sucks cuz now everytime I hear this song, it doesn't have the same effect on me as it did before the fact that it very well could be about that. Anyway... Osker still rules. Its a shame they broke up. |

I think this song means that though all the tough times and troubles AFI had and shit, the fans were always there to show their support and because of that, the band and the fans are united as one. It basically means that they went though hard times together and stayed as one, and they will continue to be who they are though thick or thin. Always a great starting song at an AFI show. It always seems to get the crowd amped. |

I totally agree. I think it's about someone who is different and knows it but still can't get acceptance amongst people because people are afraid of something that is different. Ignorance is what its called. I think the part where it says "Forever unlucky,

Yeah I definatly can relate to what he's saying. About 90% of the time I feel like an outcast, outsider, and/or white trash and honestly it does feel like I'm living in exile. No one seems to really see it or really care if the outcasts and shit are feeling left out. Oh fucking well on their part then. We're gonna continue doing what we do best..... which is fuck shit up. And no one is gonna tell us no. This song makes me proud to be an outsider and/or outcast. I makes me realize that this is who I am and the fucks of society better learn to accept it because they can't change me unless the kill me. |

I was told by my friend that the singer for Osker was one of the most hated vocalists in punk rock. I mean I guess when he was in high school, he was a loser and got fucked with a lot because he was 'different' or 'punkish' or whatever reason. And I mean you can basically see it in most of the songs from the album 'Treatment 5' where he seems to get back at everyone that has ever fucked with him. It seems in this song (and the album 'Idle Will Kill') that he's pretty much saying "whats the point anymore?" This song means to me that he's basically strayed from whats important in life and he has to make his way back even if he's alone. But to him, he's not because he has 'kinetic energy' which seems to be the confidence and motivation he needs. |
