heres the deal: God made music so if relient k wants to glorify Him with it then theyre doing something right! i love relient k. im a christian gal and im not really a fan of the 'oh Jesus... lalala' music either- so relient k rocks because they glorify God, spread the gospel, and play great fun music. so what if theyre not immensely original? theyre glorifying God, and theyre going to get lots of blessings in heaven for that. to everyone who disagrees: ezekiel 33:32 'indeed to them you are nothing more that one who sings love songs in a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice.' relient k knows theyll come up to opposition as the rest of us do. but they also know that praising God is going to matter a lot more in the end than pleasing people. thats why they talk about God in their music. |

ill tell you right now that im going to take this song literally for the whole car-crash aspect of it, and go with that. 3 kids from my school just got in a car accident, and one of them died, and even though i wasnt really even friends with any of them, no matter what it still hits you. i cried the whole day after i found out, and i dont want to face school on tuesday. its so killer to think that they were there and now theyre gone, and stuff like that. i flipped on a friend who was like 'eh-whatever. people die everyday'. nothing makes me more angry than indifference. so thats my stand--and as far as i am concerned: i dont care if you hate someone with an undying passion--death is death and its not something light. thats all. |

:-(... such a miserable song... i cant stand it!!! but i SO love it all the same... i dont really relate to it all that much, but it makes me cry everytime i listen to it, esp since there is some line that i couldnt distinguish before and all of the sudden its like damn... well i have to tell yall that even these 3 million reviews made me start to cry seeing how many guys were crying over it. ugh im afraid to listen to it too many times because i dont want it to get old... its just SO GOOD!! |

i didnt want to read what other people wrote because i didnt want to lose what was in my head, so if this is a repeat i am sorry... what i see it as is this chick who he liked lots really liked him but didnt want to admit it because he wasnt cool enough for her. So though he is left without her, he actually sees it as feeling bad for her because she couldnt get above the small stuff even if she liked him a lot. like she doesnt want people to see them together and so it bothers him and he doesnt want to let her go--but who wants to be with someone who doesnt want to be with them? so in the end everyone loses. its like she made a big deal to him about how they couldnt be together... but it was all show to make some kind of point... whoa or maybe i am really off... hah |

I dont really think that this song is about a particular relationship, but more about how society again may want to mock TJT's beliefs but how they will stand by them, esp. if it means that they are set apart from everyone else. It shows that they are satisfied with what is dealt them and that they will be patient to what is in store for them, unlike others who may want to rush things. Like its almost saying "why not wait and be patient rather than rushing through things?" |

i have to admit that this is one of my least favorite AA songs, however i do like the message. i agree with most of the comments on sugar-coated christian music, but sometimes i find you need something that is simply good for you and uplifting. other christian-based bands however though probably get more of my attention since they look into deeper subjects, and offer christian views into them. bands such as thousand foot krutch, the juliana theory, relient k, sixpence none the richer, and slick shoes offer great music with a non-worldly view on worldly subjects. they talk about everything from sex to abortion to death in a way that everyone understands without promoting worldly views... personally it works great for me. i love music and it satisfies my desire for some misery or loudness sometimes, without compromising my beliefs. |

i love this song... its so true for falling for people for the first time--and then how things end up sucking usually when they leave you. you always end up feeling like the one hung out to dry--like you were the only one who cared... hahh whatev... it also shows the importance of getting back into the real world--which takes a while |
