Son Of Sam – Michael Lyrics

Wonderful song, wonderful band, godlike vocalist. But does anyone know what this song means? |

Tub Ring – Numbers Lyrics

This song was written to make fun of pop culture. But in creating it, I think TR made something so much more. Not only is it a song that makes laughing at the mainstream a horribly enjoyable experience, but it also sounds damn great! |

Tub Ring – Good Food:Happy Family Lyrics

I think this is a sort of mockery of what the world has become. Things are taken for granted, food being one of them, and this is what it would be like if meals were the most important things in life. |

Is it just me, or does this song sound a lot like "Ava Adore" and "Tonight, Tonight", both by The Smashing Pumpkins? |

VNV Nation – Serial Killer Lyrics

I think the child of the flag line refers to members of a country. Basically, 'killing members of your own country', which isn't even an act of war, but simply an act of malice. |

AFI – A Single Second Lyrics
|
My theory is this:
Perhaps he was in a relationship, one he was incredibly happy in, but felt it was too good to be true, and knew it wouldn't last. When it finally did go down in flames, he wished he was dead, because though he knew it would happen, he never wanted it, and had hoped he was wrong. The "oh my god" and such, I think, has nothing to do with any religion at all. It's just an exclamation. |

Chevelle – Don't Fake This Lyrics
|
I think that this song is about superficiality, and how nobody seems to be themselves anymore. "Disposable men" could signify that people can throw away their entire personas and build new ones at any given time, if it will gain them more popularity.
Whatever this song means, it's a masterpeice. |

Chevelle – An Evening with El Diablo Lyrics
| 21 years ago
|
I think it's written form a third person point of view, and isn't referring to the actual devil so much as to a situation that is horrible to the point where it can easily be referred to as "El Diablo" |

It's a shame this song is less than 2 minutes long. It's the type that gets stuck in your head forever. |

Primus – Tommy The Cat (live) Lyrics
|
It's not about the lyrics, d00d. that's just a little humour to go along with the INSANELY good instrumentals. Primus is all about humour and instrumentals, and Les Claypool is the greatest bassist of all time. So instead of insulting a song for having dumb lyrics, try thinking about the fact that maybe the lyrics are supposed to be dumb. |

An amazing song. The only Primus song I've ever heard that I like better is Nature Boy, but this is definately a close second. And the video's great! |

One of my personal fav Pitchshifter songs. that guitar riff, right where it says "We'll just get back up again", is so amazing. makes me wanna jump and hurt myself ^^ |

Primus – Nature Boy Lyrics

That's all deliberate, methinks. If you listen to Mephisto And Kevin, you can see that Les can speak/sing without an accent when he wants to. Primus is all about good humour and great instrumentals. |

The Vines – Outtathaway! Lyrics

The Vines? Ska? far from it. True, they may be a little overrated, but not all that much. They wouldn't have gotten as far as they did without talent, and they sure as hell have a lot of talent. |

Something Corporate – Konstantine Lyrics

This song is beautiful. It instantly turned into my newest favorite song after I had only listen to a minute and a half of it. It's so powerful, and yet so soft. The god of all songs. It's inspired me. And I'm the type of person who plays one song right after another and has to always have a song playing, but after the first time I played this one I couldn't find anything worthy to be played right after it. Guess I'll just have to listen to this one over and over again. |

The Vines – Highly Evolved Lyrics
|
Seems like a song about drugs, to me. 'Highly Evolved' could mean being high, because drugs make people feel better then usual. The lyrics also have a lot of possible drug references, such as "Buying love from a payphone". That could mean calling a drug dealer and having the stuff delivered. The part about his brother Bill could also be used as a drug reference, what with the talk of the 'market' and such. I think Bill was a drug dealer, rather then his actual brother, but he got caught doing something he wasn't supposed to and now he;s being hunted by other drug lords or something. Just a theory ^^ |

I love this song. Corey Tailor actually shows his full vocal talent, rather then just screaming, and it's amazing. He should do it more often, because it is definately a voice to be reckoned with. |

Go Arianrhod! A agree whole-heartedly. This song is nothing but chauvanistic crap that degrades women and makes men seem like sex-obsessed zombies who can't think of anything but the female body. everytime i hear this song, i get urges to hurt stuff. |

Tool – Faaip de Oiad Lyrics

My frined told me to listen to it, and it was 3 in the morning, he turned all the lights off and I sat here. After it finished I was scared shitless, the music was freaky, and what he said was horrifying. A minute after I heard it I started hearing noises everywhere, like footsteps outside, scaring me even more so. |

Avril Lavigne – Complicated Lyrics
|
Oh..i forgot one fact. She doesn't play guitar! in the video for Complicated, the only scenes where she holds a guitar in, look carefully. She isn't even playing it! and she doesn't play at her live shows, either. i think there is one song where she plays, but it's only 3 chords or so. A 4 year old could do that. |

Avril Lavigne – Complicated Lyrics
|
Here are some lovely things i learned about the "wonderful" poser Avril:
1. She DOESN'T write her own songs. anyone who has the cd, check out the song credits. They say "written by Avril Lavigne and [insert name of someone else here]"
2. She can't even skate. One time, her manager or someone (i misremember who) asked her to show her stuff, and she said "no way, dude, i suck."
3. She IS pop. sure, the two singles she has out sound kinda rock-ish, but if you listened to the rest of the album, you would hear a pure pop pukefest.
4. She is the most stuck-up, high and mighty bitch ever. I know a few people from Napanee, Ont. where she is from, and a few of them knew her. They all say the same thing: she's a moron who got to sing onstage with Shania Twaine once at school, and afterwards, she walked around and treated everyone else like inferior dirt. She even dropped some of her best friends because they "weren't good enough" for her. |

I love this song! And yeah, it does sound quite a bit like The Everlasting Gaze. the singing style and guitar riffs are kinda similar to that of the SP in T.E.G. Both are amazingly good songs, though. |

Spineshank – Stovebolt Lyrics

Spineshank – New Disease Lyrics
|
I personally think that the song is about striving for a goal that seems incredibly important, then realizing that it is all wrong and that you're just a screw-up. Either that or thinking you're on the right track, then realizing you are farther from your goal then you ever though possible, and just giving up. |
