Paris Hilton – Screwed Lyrics 18 years ago
It's a little too POP-y. It belongs in a Disney movie. And yes, it is hard to hear her. And I just need to say, you would think the girl would have more sense than to sing a song called "Screwed"!!!!

Paris Hilton – Stars Are Blind Lyrics 18 years ago
I was never really a fan of Paris (I didn't hate her either), and when I heard she was coming out with an album, I actually laughed and said "OMG, can you believe that?" And then, I sampled her music for the first time, and I LOVE IT! I don't care if that's not her voice or is she is a hoe. This song is good. And it's going on my Playlist.

The girl in the beginning with the smashed out teeth is very similar to the girl in the poem that Jewel wrote about in her first album. Remember?

Jewel – Only One Too Lyrics 18 years ago
I love this song. However, it seems really pop for her. haha. That's okay! I love it! I love the chorus and how it is put together musically. I wonder if Ty inspired this...it doesn't seem to fit.

It must have been about 1 a.m. when she wrote this. lol

Jewel – Goodbye Alice in Wonderland Lyrics 18 years ago
I think the obvious meaning is that she is coming to grips with reality and letting go of naive beliefs about love/life. But I kind of think it could mean something else. Read the lyrics, and direct them to Jewel's "fans". After her last album, Jewel encountered a lot of crticism and she lost a lot of fans. Maybe it's her talking about how she thought the fans had been faithful, but she has come to realize that they are unpredictable, and the whole business is fickle. And she's just realizing that. She didn't even thank the fans in her new album, so...maybe???

Jewel – Long Slow Slide Lyrics 18 years ago
I think she is basically in a carnival by herself, and feeling lonely. However, the carnival is symbolic of going through life without anyone. My favorite line is "Who are you fooling-You are nobody's bride."

This song is very pretty. : ) I think a lot of poeple can relate to this song.

Jewel – 1,000 Miles Away Lyrics 18 years ago
I have found many songs on this new album that reflect previous songs of hers. Certain lyrics too. But I LOVE the way she sings out "GOD!" It gives me chills.

Jewel – Stephenville, TX Lyrics 18 years ago
I like the biographical content, however, I think this is an odd song.

Jewel – Last Dance Rodeo Lyrics 18 years ago
I agree that this song is just beautiful. It makes me feel so sad and lonely. I think it's about needing to have somebody when you're older. It's no longer about fun love, but a companion.

Odd that she chose "Satellites" I wonder what that means to her.

Jewel – Deep Water Lyrics 18 years ago
I agree with Kaira. Very nicely written. : ) Also. I think "making love to a wall" is referring to waking up alone...with nobody to make love to? (like what Sportzzgal said)

Jewel – Daddy Lyrics 18 years ago
Oh! Her new album looks like it's gonna be great! But anyway, I know her and her father had a good relationship. I've read in several places about how close they have been. I believe he is the one who taught her how to yodel. It also makes sense that this was bout a friend's dad b/c I've always been confused why she would write this about her dad when they were on such good terms.

Jewel – Amen Lyrics 18 years ago
It's about how life is so "unfair." (i hate to use that term b/c i'm not sure if that's exactly what i'm going for) It's about people trying to find a salvation (God, Heroine, Role Models, etc) but nothing can really become that. And people are so lost b/c of it.

Jewel – Absence Of Fear Lyrics 18 years ago
Obviously it's about love. Snickershell quote says something very much like sex. Not to mention that she says "boy" And if any of you actually LISTEN to Jewel, she describes love (between her and her lover) with this kind of passion all the time. A song like this does not go to God.
