I know this is a late comment. However, I wanted to agree with Cole. I have never heard any of the members of TBM state their "beliefs" in such of what they believe religiously (if at all), therefore I'm assuming Cole is correct that perhaps they believe in nothing. When you die it's nothing and nowhere ;)
Just my thoughts... I think sometimes people try too hard to interpret these things as an insanely difficult translation of complex messages when it isn't that 100% of the time. |

This song is indeed about a relationship that has ended, and the other person who realizes their mistakes saying they want to change and let the person know the reason for it was their significant other. As someone said in the first comments, its "I didn't know what i had till it was gone" type of song. All you can do in life is realize your faults and work on them. My ex wife sent this to me when we got a divorce when she cheated on me. I can never take her back, but she emailed me this, and it meant a lot, i still want her to be happy, and she wants to change her life. |

I believe waketolife is correct, in this song it talks about "our new kingdom" and in "praise the war machine" it talks about rebuilding the earth so that none shall inhabit it. In other words, man destroys himself, and in the afterlife, there is no God, the kingdom of the dead. Man walks about the earth sharing it with everyone realizing what he has done and people pray in vain due to there being nothing coming of it, God has left us and everyone realizes it truly is the end. Its the opposite of what we are promised, a perfect world after life, but because God left there is nothing left, no where to go, nothing to do, no God, its simply the end.
Truly amazing cd. It makes you sit down and think about what it would be like without God, and then sit down and thank God that he is here and thank yourself for what you have, what you are given, what could be and realize God really could do whatever he wanted and he loves us and wouldn't do this to us. Just makes you think :) Its a great reminder. |

Here's my take...
The whole cd is about "What if God decided to leave, period." right? We caused him to leave. We caused him to go away.
The way I understand this song, and this is my interpretation...
God creates man with free will, without God no good can come of the world, there is no God to assist man, watch over man, and because of us he leaves. We caused the death of God, HE left us because of our actions. We ARE the war machine. Man decides he will "rebuild the earth" in by that i believe it means he does with it what he pleases. War, death, and more death.
In second verse I believe means that man runs free and the term "run us through your jaws" is man being torn in such a way that he is seperated entirely from heaven, God and any terms of good, with no heavenly body to empower man in a good way, the flesh takes over and so does evil and the third verse i believe signifies that.
Evil comes to free man because man is nothing without God. Man is 666, man is evil incarnate because there is no God, only the flesh remains with free will.
No more order, there is disruption, war, death. The earth burns in massive hate and war, man killing man. No perfect earth, no God to come, man destroys himself, war.
Perhaps thats just my take. Perhaps I'm wrong, but thats my own take on it. |

"Martyrs not popular charts" believing what you belief, living for what you believe and in some other cases, dying for what you believe isn't always popular. But if it is you and it is what you believe then do it. "But now i'd rather die than follow mediocrity."
I believe what most of the message in is all about your beliefs.

Actually yeah it does have that sound to it LittleGreenMan86, and because of that the message is strong through it. When I was listening to it at concert it was even stronger, you could see the look on everyone's face and feel it around you, the song is so strong. Out of all the bands that I listen to, Project 86 has the gift of getting their message through, and if you'll notice, the majority of their songs are all very long, descriptive, and verbally reinforced. Add their drums, guitar, and the lyrics and its a fortified message. |

Yes, Zao's music is absolutely in my opinion, the best i've ever heard.... Like you said, "i fall asleep to it" i can do the same thing, the music isn't screaming after you get used to it. Songs like this are more about meaning and personal relation to the songs. Songs like "Angel Without Wings" mean a lot and their songs go deep. A fall farewell is a good example, it isn't as deep as some of their songs but the way he writes the lyrics its almost poetic and its so capable of explaining his feelings through the lyrics alone that adding his vocals and the rest of the music simply blows you away. Everyone seems to think that this kind of music takes "no talent to do" but in fact doing these vocals is very difficult, if done wrong can damage vocal chors etc. Zao does it so well, this song is so well made, so well expressed. And it means so much to hear words come from someone and knowing i'm not alone in alot of this stuff. Losing friends hurts, and hearing a song like this makes you feel a lot better as well as it makes you think about the whole situation of Dan's. |

If you really think about it deeply its like he is talking about the present, it sounds alot like today's events.
The wolves lead the sheep, us being the sheep. "with a stare to crush their hopes and words" obviously if we are too afraid to speak and we are hopeless then we are doomed. Its like he is talking about the entire human race diminishing or changing.
The builders keep breaking, almost like he means leaders of some sort, someone to build a foundation, every time we need them they break... they aren't there, they run, or flee. The skeleton speaks of what we've told them, the first thing that came to my mind was talking to the old generations, they tell us that something will happen, we don't listen to them and after they are gone and it happens.... "the skeleton speaks of what we've told them" we notice that they were right after they were gone.
This is what i get out of the song, there is an overall, it seems like a song completely about today and the deceit that we are in all the time. |

This is the first song i heard by Zao... it got me addicted and it spoke to me the absolute second i heard it. When i first heard it i was in a time of depression and was not dealing things well and my walk with God was straying. I felt i was missing something in my life, and i searched out the lyrics and it nailed me. This song spoke out to me, made me think, and i started to listen to this music more. The lyrics written here are incorrect just to put it straight right off the bat. Its Almighty God, not just Almighty (i'm picky).
Anyways, every time i think of this song i think of the Chapter of Revelation. The first part makes me think of Revelation and the second part of this song seems much like a prayer. I find it a relaxing song. It really puts you into a mode of thinking. The song mainly speaks about people distorting the word of God at the beginning "a blanket of deception is layered on sacred writings, which contain the thoughts of the One who is Almighty God." And "A sword is drawn, unsheathed, to bring legions of demons to their knees." speaks to me about how the wicked and wrong who have done this will be punished as well as literally "demons", like i said, it speaks to me like it is almost speaking from the Chapter of Revelation. |
