This song pisses me off. Don't get me wrong... I like Good Charlotte. I used to love them until MTV got their grubby little hands on them - particularly this song - and I heard this song over and over and over and over and over and over, and I had to endure teeny little Avril fans singing to it in the hallways at my school and AAAGGH... ...and now, I can't listen to this song without retching anymore. It's a good song, but it was way overhyped and overplayed and loved by the very people it was meant to make fun of.. you know, the trendy poser Avril people? I think we've already lost GC to them. I love how it starts out slow and soft, and in chorus speeds up just slightly.. it's beautiful. The lyrics are amazing. Okay kids, I'm sorry, but I have to rant now. I agree with Music4life and Pumpkin-86 waaaaaay up there. But...god, for all you Linkin Park fans who knew and loved them BEFORE they went mainstream, you have to admit it was nicer then. I got their CD three days after it came out, when they really weren't that popular, and just a few days ago I had one of my friends tell me, "Oh my GOD Lenore, you have to get Linkin Park's CD, In The End fucking rocks!!" and it just annoys me. And also, what the hell is up with them being played on POP stations, with Backstreet boys and NSync and Britney Spears? How can they be compared to LP, who has absolutly beautiful lyrics full of raw emotion? And their lyrics are all about bubblegummy pop shit! GAH! feh, I'm done now. |
