I think Trent, has a place to get away from things, bad things in his life, troubles and hassles, this being 'the other place' and he ran away from his life. however this place has become 'contaminated' with this thing that runs 'even deeper' and now he dreams of a new 'different' place to get to and get away from things, the end describes his journey there. |

I believe "The Wretched" is a song about somebody Trent knows or would like to know and see have great aspirations. These hopes amount up to nothing in the end and they become "one of us". This person is full of hope but Trent knows things are over and a 'i told you so' attitude is adopted. He explains that God doesnt want them anymore and that no matter what it keeps on coming. |

One of the best songs in the film "Final Destination" relatively unheard of in the UK, i was glad to hear a bit of meaning in a film and song. Sounds like Trenbt is contemplating a step in his life, the station being his method of travel to his final destination, however everything else he's done has fucked up or gone wrong and as this experience wears on it appears to turn out just like all the others as he slips away.

I am a BIG NIN fan, my nick says it all, and clearly Closer is one of the definitive NIN songs, and I've heard limp bizkit try and incorporate its lyrics but they dont compare to the original and best.
