It is settled, infranippies has the best user name, ever.
But this album, it is incredible. I decided when I heard this was in the immediate future that no matter what I was going to love this album, whether it was fantastic or horrendous. I don't think Sufjan can do wrong.
Also, I have been wondering for a long, long time how to pronounce his name; I usually end up calling him Mr. Stevens. Does anyone know how it is said? |

I also think it's a given that they do, in fact, both die. |

I saw them play this live; It was their last song. At the end, when the humming replaces the words, the band walked off stage playing their instruments. We, the audience, thought this meant the show was over. It was amazing, purely. But then the band came out through a side door, still playing this song, and proceeded to walk amongst the crowd. I don't think anyone moved, or said a word. It was an impossible dream, that became reality. What. a. fucking. concert.
One can tell when the band they are seeing is truly, truly into the music that they are playing. And the Arcade Fire is seriously into their music. Makes for a great show, and makes the audience happy to be there watching them. |

Don't get me wrong, I love this album to death and back.. but I cannot stand the lyrics. I know you interpret them yourself, etc etc.. but the lack of varying syllable patterns gets to me.
With that said, I absolutely love this song. It's perfect for Sunday nights when you know you should be busy, but instead you're driving around back roads by farms and rich, subdivisions with huge houses, smoking cigarettes and being a teenager while you can still use such an excuse for smoking. |

cuttooth, I'm so glad you feel that way. I work in a record store, and a few months ago, one of many record industry friends of my manager stopped in. And he had in his possession a final copy of A Ghost is Born. He set my manager down and told him to listen to this song, that it'd blow him away.
I don't think my manager was.. but I was. The song was undoubtedly this one. Still captures my attention. The breakdown is tremendously amazing. Some of their best work. |

im sorry, but garbage has gone down in quality. im a huge fan and i couldn't wait for this cd and i was let down so much. garbage got a bubblegum poppy sound way far from verison 2.0 and the pink cd. dont get me wrong, i love garbage, but the new cd lives up to the bands name. |
