The Distillers are probably one of my favourite bands because they send such a positive message without having it become completely cheesey. It's sort of a "I've over come advesity, and so can you" thing [which is really strong in the Crazy Young Peeling song]. Recently I've been bombared with comments like, "The Distillers have totally SOLD OUT!" But honestly I don't really give a shit. If you didn't see this coming then you're probably a bit slow. She's sooo marketable. She has the punk rock life, the punk rock husband, the punk rock band and the punk rock hair. They barely swear in their songs and they have a POSITIVE MESSAGE. Brody Armstrong is the chick to like now that it's cool to hate Avril. The music still fucking rocks. Frankily it shouldn't be too important who sings it as long as it's real and has emotion carved into it. |

Yeah, there's two sides to everything. Two points of view. It takes two to tango, correct? I'm hoping no one thinks they have the answer to war. It's never simple. Neither are going to stop until many, many more have died. Obviously, if one did they would appear weaker. And of course we can't have that, can we? You know, MrSaturn, if America was so interested in actually protecting itself, why wouldn't it go for home? Hit 'em where it hurts? Because if they did, they'd hit 'em where it hurts oil too. America feeds off of other countries after destroying their own natural resources... such as the Canadian free lumber trade deal..thing.. No, I am not saying, "Import bad!" But Canada was almost literally black mailed or forced into that deal. America may have helped defend against the nazis, but is it just me, or does Bush look like he'd well suit a mustache? |

I think it's more like... the girl was raped by her dad, and her little brothers and sisters saw him doing it to her in the kitchen, and they went and told mother, and the mother was probably really uptight and never let her daughter deal with it, made her up to be something she's not, dressed her in the latest trends to attempt to make her feel perfect, and they expect so much from her and it's something she cannot ever give them, and they're saying she's naive because she's pleading for help but no one's going to give it for her, and they think she's naive for even suggesting that she change, or addmiting it ever happened.. so she's pleading to her mother, "oh mama, please let someone fix me" and no one's really giving a damn because there's wrapped up in their own mask of perfection. | |

| Mkay... after going throw many a post on this page, I've decided to add something here. 1) I agree with some of NothingFace's ideas and opinions, although, I just think there are some different punk bands, that's why there's different FORMS of punk. What about AFI? Or emo bands, which personally I think are a bit.... eh, repeative too, but like Dashboard, Taking back Sunday, etc. and maybe some other punk bands have non-anti establishment songs... the Riddlin Kids, Lagwagon... but then again, there are MANY punk bands out there that sing about how the government sucks... The Distillers, Propaghandi, Against All Authority, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Pennywise, NoFX.. No story really is one sided, but singing about that kinda stuff has become a trend in punk, and isn't punk about lack of trends? 2) Blink 182? Don't you dare ever ever call them punk! They used to be, but that's a long time ago. That's right kids, they sold out. | Ahh Ed Gein, Interesting song I luv it... I just think that's it's interesting to know about Ed Gein because if you think abot it, everyone has a bit morbid curiousity, some just take it to different extents. Ed Gein was convicted of killing two people, but around the time of this goings on about five or six went missing, and it's questioned whether the accidental death of his brother was really an accident (they found his burnt body but it was evident he was hit in the head with a blunt object, the burntness was supposedly him and Ed trying to put out a fire in their forest by their house) also, Ed Gein kept a little girl he dug up to sleep with him. Ed Gein denied being cannibalistic, although he gave packages of human meat to his neighbors, and after he was caught the county put up the house for action, but mysetriously it burnt down. One of the rooms of the house was completely blocked off because it was his mothers favourite room, I don't remember which. His bed posts were decorated with human skulls, he had a bowl made of a skull, etc. And also, when the police found the body of one of his female victims, she was hanging upside down with her stomach gutted.
