Yes tony exactly. I find the real emo bands are emo because of the emotion in the sound of their voice. of course the real emo bands have come and gone but now mirror bands of the old emo styles are coming out. Jeff thinks thursday is Hardcore, so emo-core or hardcore emo comes to mind.

DC songs have about a 50 song limit after u listen to that song about 50 times its totally old and annoying. If u like them so much have a baby u can hear even more crying and whining than u could on this cd. |

I believe the man he is talking about is the same person he talks about in The Mars Volta song "Concertina". A former member of At The Drive-in had pushed a freind of Cedrics to killing himself. I believe he jumped off a bridge maybe the Mesa Street Exit bridge. And I think Cedric being stuck at the intersection may mean that he is still alive while his freind is dead, or my other thinking is that Cedric is stuck and he can't get to his freind to stop him. |

Thursday is simply amazing the just let go part reminds me of fight club. Such a greatly written song. I wish suffolk downs would have more fucking enterences so next time i go to warped tour i dont miss all but one song of thursdays set. |

Wanna know why lots of mtv bands tend to sell out? Okay as one of the more underground music fans I finally learned what happens. Lets use good ol blink (i still like their new stuff and i have def noticed the change. lemme explain)
They put out flyswatter as a demo then theyre good enough to record a full length, out comes cheshire cat. Then buddah comes out.
These two cds are promoted by the record companies (grilled chesse, and cargo). But those promotions cost blink 182 money. Those cds didnt make that much money so they pay the record companies back with about say 80% of the cds earnings. Which forces them to put out Dude Ranch. Uh oh looks like damnit and josie are hits!
So then the next cd comes out and the producers come in from bigger record labels and now they are willing to spend a lot more money on blink then they would have in 93. So the producers tell blink to change this sound and do this and that to make it sound "better" and to attract a bigger fan base.
They work on certain songs for longer amounts of time, ahem, whats my age again, to be an MTV hit. Everyone likes it they buy the cd.
Listen to that cd there are still songs like Wendy Clear which take me back to the early days of blink. This happens for long amounts of time untill contracts are up and only after the band has so much respect do they get their own creative control rights (with the right amount of negotiation).
There ya have it you can insert other bands in there as well Incubus and such. |

I dunno whos opinion is right the earlier posts seem to be the most correct to me. Ruby Soho is a district in London. It first struck me when i read the post about meeting the girl and having to keep touring is that he met her then he had to go play a show in england in Ruby Soho. Scenario - meets girl last show in the us then hasta go to england to do a tour over there. Could be wrong dont know much about them just listen to the songs. Great band |

Christ this is friggin horrible, way too many posts from girls sayin "i dont many of 311's other songs" yeah same chicks that end up liking only Amber and Ill Be Here A While. This song doesnt show the true 311 at all. Songs like this piss me off, its just like what System of a Down does, they release certain songs that the public listens to, you know that stuff thats on the mix stations that ur parents may think hey maybe this band isnt that bad. Then u listen to the cd and you see that, that one song is totally isolated from the others. And if beutiful disaster ever comes back to read this, read what i said dickhead, i said theres no need to try an analyze this song cuz its about as deep as a puddle. Ok he likes a girl there u have it. I know the friggin meaning of the site thank you wise ass. Girls please do me a favor don't buy the cd dont go to the concert leave 311 alone to its real fans. Oh yes and wtf is the deal with 311 playing with jay z and de la sol. Theres a ticket im NOT buying.
