Slipknot – Wait And Bleed Lyrics 22 years ago
Wes was a fake. He was just part of the wannabe rock band that limp bizkit was. They were truly a boy band. You have your hardass, sam rivers, your heart throb, fred durst, your shy person, john otto, your older member, DJ Lethal, and your attention getter, Wes Borland. I guess I just don't understand the appeal this band has brought into the rock culture. In a time and age where rap/metal is taking over (linkin park, SOAD, slipknot, etc.)they lost their place except to reach the pop charts with their mass appealing songs displaying lyrics bitching about women, or not getting "his way". Only Limp Bizkit's first cd will be one that i will ever listen to. It had heart and soul instead of the pop-type lyrics that are displayed in the latter 2 cds. I dislike a sellout band. Im sure all of you do. Unlike Korn, Durst and his Limp Bizkits aren't going to recover from their slip into the pop genre. They will stay where they need to stay, in with the pussy boy bands such as Backstreet boys and N*sync. If you read this Fred, thanks for showing your true side before more than just this one listener was given your "counterfeit" side. But now everyone either knows the truth about it, or is deafened by your horribly squeak-infested voice that sounds like a pissed off 8th grader.

Slipknot – Wait And Bleed Lyrics 22 years ago
Panochita, is it me, or is shell rather metaphoric for shell? I didn't know if anyone else picked that up, or it was just me. Panochita doesn't know shit about what real lyrics are. People are rather literal with songs because it flows with the human need to connect with something. These lyrics, no matter Backstreet Boys singing how much they love a girl, or Slipknot screaming how badly life sucks and the pains and tortures we go through during it, are meant to apply to groups of people so they can feel open about what they feel and know that not only THEY are feeling that way. To me, the song relates to him dying in his own personal shell, be it his bathtub, kitchen, bedroom, etc. He chooses his place to die "wander where you can't see" away from his peers, relatives for their own comfort. How he "can't control my shakes" resembles possible overdosing on drugs. Also, bleeding could mean that he is bleeding the life out of himself, figuratively. Yet, I doubt that in this particular song. When he "wipes it off on tile" signifies the rather stereotypic view of many bathrooms having tile floors. So, him bleeding in, more than likely, a bathroom away from his family and friends. "Get outta my head, cuz i don't need this" i believe, refers to possibly the taunting fears of his family over the years and they may have been "brainwashing" with these feelings of hatred. Honestly, this is only MY point of view, and apparently not everyone elses. Everyone has a good point, and no one should be put down for their view on the subject.

Soulfly – Jumpdafuckup (feat. Corey Taylor) Lyrics 22 years ago
This song is talking about how fucked up our society is and we adhere to our individual cliques of people. The goths, the preps, the freaks, etc. Jumpdafuckup releases that we shouldn't just sit on our asses and have meetings on why our world is turning to hell, we should get the fuck up and do something about it. Pollution, the ozone and all those bullshit problems can be put on hold because they are constant and infinite. We need to concentrate on the coming together of the groups we divide ourselves into. The human ignorance is what tears us down. As well as the aforementioned, it talks about almost an unlimited amount of hatred that we see expressed in many soulfly and slipknot songs. This duo does a damn good job at this.

Linkin Park – Runaway Lyrics 22 years ago
First off, dear members of Linkin Park, "Runaway" from luv4linkin. If you don't understand what I am talking about, listen to Eminem - Stan. Anyways, back to the meaning of the song. To me this song means too many people are being blamed for things they weren't involved in, because of who they hang with. Then they are tempted to run away from their problems to live in their own personal hell, or utopia, whichever they conceive. Things he may have said were never meant, yet when something similar happened, *BAM* he's Catch-22. This isn't my favorite song on the cd, yet it is hard to decide when the whole cd is packed with great songs. All with a Linkin Park feel that we all know, yet with it's own unique vibe that brings us back for more. If you are ever looking to spend some money on a good cd... Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory is the one.

Staind – Waste Lyrics 22 years ago
This song displays emotions felt by Aaron Lewis about a friend's mother asking him questions about his apparent suicide. Aaron tries to show that suicide shouldn't be the way out. He gets tired of her questioning and breaks into the hard (Well fuck them and fuck...) part of the song in which produces chills in me whenever i hear the song. The last line (But these words...(also seen elsewhere in the song)) is his thought that you should not waste your life for your problems, and what he is now saying will not help what has been said and done. This is my unique perception on the song.
