I assume that's what everyone is talking about, the cheating thing. I take it as lies, just lies. Lies I hid behind to protect myself and I only ended up ruining the best thing in my life.
And now he knows... and when he is by my side he is no longer the lover I once had. I can still feel his heartbeat. I know things are different because of what I did and nothing could make them go back to the way they were before. But now I'm just rambling in my self-pity and fear for having lost the best thing in my life.
I love YC, even though this entire album brings me to tears, as do a few of their previous songs. *sigh* |

I think any kind of love that isn't just the lust is going to be scary and at least he's not just saying, take the leap, I'm not scared, you shouldn't be either. You know? And it's hard to open up to people sometimes. And to open up and feel the emotion behind everything, I just think it's important that for Christian to sing that message, and put it out there, for him to have that last line in there. To me, it's sort of like a reassurance. I've had a hard time opening up to a lot of people and it's way easier to have lust... but I don't think love is cute and boring. heheh, I'm going to shut up now...I'm just rambling. Sorry. |

Dood...this is definitely my favorite song off the album. It's awesome! To me it kinda means he has an enemy, a competitor, and he is just yelling at him, kind of. And using it as a motive to keep moving...thus "I'll keep it close and finally break on through/Thanks to you" But I just like the song cuz it's fast and moving and stuff...

I agree...I'm a major Default fan, but this is not one of my favorite songs. But what it's about...well, I think it could be about an Angel, definitely. But to me, I kinda feel like maybe it's his father. With the line "I see you in me and I feel so proud"...and he is turning out like his father was. But that's just me! |
