Albert Hammond Jr. – Everyone Gets a Star Lyrics | 12 years ago |
With this interpretation it seems like the lyrics should be "I want you too, forever no" because it's a conversation that he's having with her. |
Albert Hammond Jr. – Everyone Gets a Star Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Wow! You're pretty good. |
Spoon – Don't You Evah Lyrics | 13 years ago |
There's this part in the begining: "I told you I can't make this play" "Jim, can you record the talk back?" "Record that Jim" "THAT!" "There! Yeah! Jim" "Yeah, that's it" "Jim record that" "Jim, could you record the talk back?" "Beeeeruuu......beeerrruuuu" Man, if I was Jim I'd be like "STFU!!!! I done heard you tell me the first time!" |
Figurine – IMpossible Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song is so post-millennial! It's funny to listen to a song like this and hear about how people used to IM each other in the olden days. Despite being very dated, I think the message therein concerning long-distance relationships is still somewhat valid and relevant to us today. |
Figurine – Way Too Good Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song makes me think of Okay Guy from rage comics. |
Dio – The Last In Line Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think this song is about the eternal rainbow that makes of the dreams of wizards come true. I mean if you think about it: "We search for the truth We could die upon the tooth" the tooth of what? of a dragon. Or take a look at this: "Two eyes from the east It's the angel or the beast And the answer lies between" Well, what lies between an angel or the beast? An angel-like beast, right? Like a Hyppogryph! Ok, so now you're asking, what a Hyppogryph has to do with the eternal rainbow...well, it's simple. Rainbows are what the palace of the virgin is made out of, and the dragon is the lost snake. You follow? So, basically dragon's ARE rainbows!!! I know right? My friend stayed up all night smoking meth and we spread every Dio lyric out on the carpet and rearranged them until we figured out his whole cosmology. Rogue Wave – Right With You Lyrics | 14 years ago |
It cut out some of my comments. "running out of time/keep myself in line" -> can he control himself? or will he give in and go out with her again? "hold my head down again, bring back some more" -> it's like he's saying this to her sarcastically. "yeah, just hold my head down again, bring back some more, I want to go through that again." By the way...I'm sort of projecting because a similar situation is happening to me right now. I'm probably just reading into the lyrics to make them explain what's happening in my life. |
Rogue Wave – Right With You Lyrics | 14 years ago |
It's about a make-up/break-up relationship. "Right with you" means being your man again. I want to be right with you. "Light the force that's on my back" is kind of like "put a fire under my seat," or "motivate me." ---the first part of the song is a reflection on how they met--- "I push down to win you, because it isn't too important." << He's pushing down certain feelings within that prevent him from being with her. "It isn't too important." "Imitation now. Jenny wanna ride in snow" < --that was just a little reflection, the song is really about getting back together--- "it's so obvious. You're a temptress" << he knows that they're not right together, she keeps messing with his head. "swap neurosises" << they've both got problems. they shouldn't be together. "Running out of time/keep myself in line" < "Millions of creatures could open my eyes" << lot's of fish in the sea. any one of them could be a better match. "hold my head down again, bring back some more" < This is not a very eloquent analysis of this song. I hope someone comes after me and either refutes me, or does something with my idea. |
The Faint – Glass Danse Lyrics | 17 years ago |
The first part is describing the feeling of standing outside a nightclub in the cold, and how the air and the way you feel is completely altered when you enter. The second part are typical thoughts a club goer may have. The third part smells a little like adgenda suicide, in that it makes club life seem monotonous, and usual. The last part seems like a joke, where he gives a brief summary of the things that happen in life, then he says you wish life was really that simple. I would say this song's meaning is that even though the club seems like a wild rush of exctasy and it's a big deal, in reality it's not that big a deal. |
Prima Donnas – Nance Music Manifesto Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i just want to elaborate on what andro said. in the 50's and 60's, with the advent of Elvis and the British invasion, hip thrusting and pelvis girating were all the rage, making girls wet and guys hard. but because of the direction music has gone in it's near impossible to get laid simply from exposing a persepctive mate to your band; ergo nance music...and this is its manifesto |

Le Shok – tv in my eye Lyrics | 22 years ago |
i'm sure this is a mockery of how people watch too much television |
George Michael – I Want Your Sex Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This is my own personal interpretation, but I think that George Michael is singing about his desire to have sexual intrercourse with the person that he's singing the song to. That's what the lyrics seem to say to me. |
Cannibal Corpse – Necropedophile Lyrics | 22 years ago |
i think this song is about molesting dead children, and feeling satisfied, but a tad guilty from it. that's just what the lyrics seem to say to me, but everybody has theri own interpretation. |
The Faint – Agenda Suicide Lyrics | 22 years ago |
There's nothing more depressing than our own dreary reality. This song is tricky in typical Faint fashion. Upbeat, fun, song...depressing lryics...quit your job, and have none of the possessions that you need, or work your whole life for them. *sigh* I agree with adema69 |
Dio – Holy Diver Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song has NO meaning, it's just a jumble of lyrics, and cliche phrases, put together that rarely rhyme. They sound good, and may have, at one time, under the influece of heavy marajuanna consumption made sense. I doubt in present times that Ronnie James has any idea what he was singing about. "Ride the tiger You can see his stripes but you know he's clean Oh don't you see what I mean " hahahaha, what the fuck is he talking about? "Between the velvet lies There's a truth that's hard as steel The vision never dies Life's a never ending wheel" I can't believe he still tourns the country and sings these lryics! that last one wasn't even a nonsequator, it's just completely nonsensical! hahaha, Dio rocks! |
Le Shok – They Call Her Action Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song satirizes television actresses. They whore themselves out for the TV, and it's nothing to them, so mechanical. |
Le Shok – We Are Electrocution Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song reflects the subtle social uprising durring depression era music, and has heavy religious overtones. haha, just kidding, this is just a theme song, with no meaning in the lyrics. |
Le Shok – Where's The Line Begin For Vicodin? Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This is a song about the confusion that you cannot become addicted to mere OTC drugs. This point is also brought up in the movie "requiem for a dream", when one of the protagonists becomes addicted to diet pills, and rejects the idea that there is any problem, or of course addiction |
Le Shok – White Tie, You Die Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Le Shok - White Tie, You Die = White Collar jobs, suffocate you, and the stress will lead to your death |
Le Shok – I Know You're Ready Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song sounds like it's about kids blindly fucking any girl they can get theri dicks in when they are younger...it's not love or anything special "...fucking is just fucking when you are sixteen..." |
Soft Cell – Sex Dwarf Lyrics | 22 years ago |
this song is based on an old indian weather dance, created in the afterglow of the big phallus worshiping of the 1920's |
The Faint – Sex Is Personal Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I wonder what he yells out between ""...and soon in it would come into focus..." and "...theres no time for fighting..."? to me it sounds like "that's right, to fart face that's right! BONUS!" |
The Faint – The Conductor Lyrics | 22 years ago |
this is another good song for filming gay porno to....it's hot. |
The Faint – Glass Danse Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I like this song, I don't know how to describe it...I'd like to film gay porno with this as the background music....it's just a pulsing, pumping, beat...it's fucking great! |
The Faint – Victim Convenience Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I have no idea, but it's a rockin' song! I like the remix a little better though... |
The Faint – Worked Up So Sexual Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I think this song is about a stripper the lead singer once loved. The lead singer of this group is like one of the most badass dancers of our time. The Faint rules! |
